The Deep State Is About to Feel the Wrath of Trump

No one has faced the wrath of the Deep State more than President Trump. From the Obama-era spying on his 2016 campaign to undermining his first term to the relentless efforts to derail his return to the White House, the establishment has thrown everything at him. But Trump has learned a crucial lesson: it’s not enough to fight back — he has to dismantle the deep state entirely. Now that he’s back in the White House, he appears more determined than ever to finish the job. And now, the Deep State is about to feel the wrath of Trump.

According to reports, President Donald Trump is poised to fire hundreds of employees at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in a targeted effort to purge potential ideologues who could obstruct his agenda. This bold move is not simply about downsizing the federal workforce; it is a strategic play to remove career bureaucrats who have been stonewalling the execution of his policies — especially in the critical area of immigration.

Sources tell NBC News that the Trump administration has created a “centralized plan” detailing a list of high-level individuals marked for termination this week. The firings will take place alongside broader budget cuts affecting various components of DHS, notably the Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. This coordinated effort is emblematic of the administration’s resolve to reshape the federal giant and ensure that its goals are not sabotaged by entrenched opposition.

"Under President Trump’s leadership, we are making sweeping cuts and reform across the federal government to eliminate egregious waste and incompetence that has been happening for decades at the expense of the American taxpayer," a spokesperson for DHS told NBC News.

Among the career employees at risk are those in senior managerial roles, including members of the Senior Executive Service and General Schedule 15 employees. Their removal isn’t just about reducing numbers; it’s about clearing out obstacles that threaten Trump’s agenda. DHS plays a crucial role in enforcing U.S. immigration law, overseeing agencies like Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Trump has consistently depended on these bodies to secure our southern border and ramp up the arrest and deportation of undocumented immigrants.

The intent behind these firings is crystal clear. A former senior official from the Biden administration revealed that the individuals targeted for dismissal are “career people who have an influence on policy and strategy.” This means they have the power to substantially affect the execution of Trump’s plans, particularly when it comes to immigration policies.

An official from the current administration confirmed that many of these individuals “willfully grind things to a halt,” obstructing the implementation of the administration’s directives. These are people who feel they are morally obligated to resist Trump, and they must be dealt with.

Trump’s actions signal that he has learned from his first term, where unelected bureaucrats often undermined his policies and complicated their execution. The reality is this: a president cannot effectively govern when subordinates are actively working against him.
