Is Barack Obama Receiving Better Secret Service Protection Than Donald Trump?

In the aftermath of the latest assassination attempt on Donald Trump, reactions have been swift and divided. Those on the right are outraged, demanding answers and accountability, while voices on the left seem intent on pinning the blame on Trump himself. Personally, I can't help but question whether the lack of security around Trump is intentional. This isn't the first time such concerns have been raised, and the evidence of Trump being deliberately left exposed is becoming impossible to ignore.

In fact, it’s staring at us right in the face.

Think about it.

On Sunday, when law enforcement officials gave a press conference, I was particularly struck by this nugget of information from Palm Beach Sheriff Ric Bradshaw when he was asked about the security at the golf course.

“Well, you got to understand the golf course is surrounded by shrubbery, so when somebody gets into the shrubbery, they're pretty much out of sight, all right? And at this level that he is at right now, he's not the sitting president,” he said, pointing out that if he was the sitting president, there would have been more security around the perimeter of the golf course. “But because he's not, security is limited to the areas that the Secret Service deems possible.”

I might be inclined to accept this explanation, save for the fact that in the weeks since the first assassination attempt in Butler, Pa., and now in the aftermath of this latest attempt, no one has expressed any concern about the security and safety of past presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, or Jimmy Carter—particularly Barack Obama.

Since Obama is the one who is more public these days, let’s focus on him. Has anyone, particularly those on the left, expressed any concern about whether Barack Obama is adequately protected? It hasn’t come up. It’s as if there is zero concern about his safety.

Weird. Why isn’t there? In theory, he’s getting the same level of protection as fellow former President Donald Trump.

Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo noticed the same thing on Monday’s episode of “Mornings with Maria.”

During the panel discussion, she raised the critical issue of Trump’s security—or lack thereof.

“Let’s take a look at the kind of security President Obama has since he’s no longer a sitting president,” she said.

“We’ve got pictures here of President Obama’s golf course in Martha’s Vineyard. Secret Service inspects every vehicle when they even drive near the course,” she added, making the double standard glaringly obvious.

"He's not a sitting president, yet the golf course that he's on is incredibly secure," she continued.

That certainly explains why no one is concerned about Barack Obama's security—it's as if it is understood that Obama gets better security than Trump does.

Remember, after the first assassination attempt, Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas) revealed to Bartiromo that Trump's security detail told him months prior they were repeatedly denied more resources and that they believed it was politically motivated.

"I also talked to President Trump's detail months and months ago, and I asked them if they were doing okay, and they told me they were having trouble getting the resources they needed," he said. "And you know, they felt at the time that it was politically motivated."

If the levels of protection for Trump and Obama were equal, there'd be widespread concern about Obama's security, yet there isn't.

Clearly, they aren't getting equal protection.

And there should be an investigation as to why.
