I’m always looking for good granola recipes. The more I make, the more I am disappointed by the store bought kind. This is a delicious version of an almond butter granola.

Let me know how you like it!

Wow, if this didn’t speak to my heart! Having little ones at home makes it difficult to find time to spend with my spouse. We usually end the day exhausted and ready for bed. This article lists practical ideas that don’t cost a fortune to start making your marriage a priority.

Now life still feels amazing, in many ways even more so, but it doesn’t look the same. This phase of life is cray. Between managing the household, caring for two young kids, working, and making sure everyone has food to eat and clothes to wear, by the end of the day we are all flat out exhausted.”

“Still, I would venture to say that we still have a really great marriage. Perfect? No such thing in my opinion, but our marriage is strong and we are happy.”

Sometimes in this world crammed to the gills with technology, never-ending ideas thrown at us and endless cyberspace to ‘catch up with,’ I think it’s easy to forget about the pondering and just get busy with the ‘doing’ without giving it much thought….And all of it is fine and good, and quite often helps us to progress in wonderful ways. But as we race from one thing to the next trying so hard to ‘fill’ it with goodness sometimes we forget to keep some of those things and ponder them in our hearts.
“And we forget that the pondering itself is what could fill it up rightly.”

“That very pondering could possibly make all the difference. Could slow us down. Could help us remember what’s most important. And help us find the joy that waits patiently for our hearts to allow it in.”

The joy of having kids can be exhausting. Even if you love the snot out of your kids, by the end of the day, you’re spent and ready to rest. I loved this reminder from Mommy’s Me Time, that we are all in this together.  Parents, we need to support and encourage each other!

When I feel overwhelmed about parenthood? I remind myself that we’re all in this together. We all have ups and we all have downs. And at the end of the day, as long as we love our kids to the moon and back and do the best darn job we can, everything will turn out okay.”

“So to you, tonight, my parent friends…”

“Rest assured that you aren’t alone. When your kids aren’t sleeping? Or listening? Or doing ANYTHING that good kids are supposed to be doing? When you JUST want to feel like you have a clue about what the heck you’re doing?”

“Know that there are some parents over here popping open a bottle of wine who get you. Who are with you.”

“We’re in this together, and if we keep fighting the good fight, our kids will turn out just fine.”
