Grandma Accidentally Sends Granddaughter the Most Inappropriate Book Possible

One very loving grandmother sent her 6-year-old granddaughter a book as a gift. But when the little girl’s mom opened the book, her jaw hit the floor. Apparently, Grandma never opened the book before sending it. If she had, she would have noticed that the language in it is, ahem, a little mature for a kid in first grade. It turns out that the book was If Animals Could Talk by Carla Butwin. In the description on Amazon, it says it’s “Definitely not for all ages.” Amazingly the reviews consist mostly of 5-stars by people who thought the book was hilarious, and a lot of 1-stars by people who were annoyed that it wasn’t for children. If you want an idea of what we’re dealing with here, this book is definitely more of the ilk of Go the F*ck to Sleep than The Very Hungry Caterpillar, if you catch our drift.

Tiffany tweeted about the incident and the internet had a good laugh right along with her:

Some people definitely had the right idea:

And how about a little more to make your day?

So while Tiffany’s daughter never got to enjoy her gift from grandma, the internet got a great laugh after a pretty tough news week. And for that, we are grateful. Not surprisingly, the book sold out on Amazon not long after Tiffany took to social media to share the gift with the world.
