'Founding Fathers' Then, 'Freedom Fathers' Now

It’s about time. Tea time. Who makes our founding fathers smile in heaven? The Tea Party representatives who are standing up, standing tall, and demanding common-sense actions. John Adams would be proud of the Tea Party’s elected officials.

John Adams was the thorn in the side of the Second Continental Congress. Everybody hated him. He was “obnoxious and disliked.” He didn’t care. He was a visionary. He was brave. He acted on his educated intuition and inherent truths.

His poll numbers wouldn’t have been good either. He only had approximately 33% of the support of the colonies and marginally less in Congress. Another 33% of the colonists were Tories and the remaining 33% were non-committal, unaware, and uninvolved. Sound familiar?

His approval ratings would’ve been dismal. But these elements did not matter to John Adams. He did what he believed was best for the colonies and for human dignity. History proved John Adams, who became our second president, to be correct.

John Adams shaped the events and eventual success of the birth of our country and the Revolutionary War. John Adams nominated George Washington as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army. John Adams insisted that Thomas Jefferson write the Declaration. John Adams insisted on independence. Only a few shared his vision. Others thought he was a radical, self-destructive, imposing pain in the derrière. No one liked John Adams. Yet, without John Adams, there would be no United States of America.

Rand Paul has the foresight, the clarity of mind, the courage of John Adams. This week he announced that he would block the nomination of Dr. Janet Yellen as head of the Federal Reserve until there is a vote on Resolution S. 209 to open up the records of the Federal Reserve. The bill is the “Federal Reserve Transparency Act,” and would allow the Government Accountability Office to audit the Federal Reserve.

This is an action that every founding father would approve — including Alexander Hamilton.

The dubious dealings and constant secrecy of the Federal Reserve are simply nauseating. The control it has over our lives — frightening. The lack of accountability to Americans — unconstitutional.

The time has come. The time has come for clarity in all areas of the government — the IRS scandal; the Benghazi tragedy; the NSA intrusions; the Obamacare scare; the bloated, pork-filled bills; the incomprehensible laws; the back-room deals; the unelected czars; the unratified treaties; and the closed-door secrecy of the Federal Reserve.

Go Rand Paul.

Our government is completely out of control and the ones luxuriating in this unchecked power will do anything to stop, demean, ridicule, and ruin the ones trying to call the corruption to the carpet. This bi-partisan power play against transparency includes Democrats and RINO Republicans.

We Americans can see the common-sense solutions. We Americans know that trying to expose corruption is like trying to herd cats. We Americans know it must be done.

Don’t listen to the polls. Don’t listen to the naysayers. Don’t listen to the horrible, mean-spirited antics of the ones trying to hold onto their old, wayward ways. Darkness doesn’t like the light. But light wins in the end.

Let’s turn on the lights in the dark attics of hidden antics.

Let’s support the new “freedom fathers.” The time has come.
