'For Imposing Taxes On Us Without Our Consent' – The Declaration’s Words

On July 4, 1776, the American colonists declared independence from an overbearing king and legislature that imposed their will upon them without any regard for their petitions. “We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us,” states the Declaration of Independence. Sound familiar? A defiant president and a Congress controlled by Democrats granted themselves an unwarranted jurisdiction when they, the Democrats only, passed ObamaCare.

“Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury,” the Declaration states. Sound familiar? The United States Supreme Court repeated the ObamaCare injury by upholding the Affordable Care Act as constitutional.

“A Prince, whose character, is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people,” the Declaration states. Sound familiar? President Obama is orchestrating his agenda like a tyrant king who is tone-deaf to the petitions of the people, and burdening the people with unfair taxes — the conglomerate of taxes that are in ObamaCare.

That law that is now finally revealed and legitimized by the Supreme Court as the tax it always was.

On a hot, steamy Philadelphia day on July 4, 1776, discerning, brave, and brilliant men mutually pledged — with a reliance on divine providence — their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor in order to obtain independence from a tyrant king. Sound familiar? Today Americans are in a battle for their lives (health care), fortunes(taxes), and sacred honor (independence and dignity) from an overbearing and self-centered president and a legislature filled with partisan Democrats who are deaf to calls to redress the injuries.

One shudders to think what John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock, Samuel Adams would declare today, after a sweeping Supreme Court decision wiped independence off of the United States of America’s map and the individual American’s manifest.

The Declaration of Independence includes a list of grievances against the tyrant king. One such grievance is “For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent.”

Sound familiar? A duplicitous president, who always knew ObamaCare was a tax and who instructed his solicitor general to argue in front of the Supreme Court it was a tax, has successfully imposed taxes upon us without our consent. Obama, the “Great Pretender,” set the course of his agenda and legacy, the Affordable Care Act mandate, unpopular from the start, and led the great lie — that ObamaCare was not a tax.

Upon this pretentious principle he built his socialist manifesto that robbed Americans and the states of their independence and renowned health care.

The Great Pretender cried at one town hall after another that ObamaCare was not a tax. “Not one dime,” was his declaration, promising no taxes would be paid to uphold ObamaCare. That was yet another deception.

To accomplish this, the liberals had to build a legislation that was too thick for anyone to understand — 2,700 pages. The liberals in the legislature pronounced to what they hoped was an ignorant populace that the bill was for their own good and sealed the deal with Nancy Pelosi’s now infamous remark that they had to pass it to find out what was in it.

ObamaCare was the biggest fraud instilled upon the American people of all time until Chief Justice Roberts called Obama’s bluff. Roberts came to the conclusion that ObamaCare could be constitutionally upheld upon the premise of Obama’s solicitor general’s argument — that ObamaCare could be constitutionally legitimized as a tax. Chief Justice Roberts heard this argument and could rationalize the constitutionality of the law as a tax.

Regardless of the legal or fairness arguments, or even his true intent, the result is that Roberts exposed the Great Pretender. The Affordable Care Act is a tax — the largest tax hike in American history.

Media elites are debating whether ObamaCare is a tax or a penalty. They proclaim that if you buy insurance then you are not taxed. However, the plague has not fully run its course. The bill is diseased with taxes – taxes on instruments, machines, probably even the Kleenex. Not to mention that the morgue will be filled with IOUs from anyone who makes $18,700 or more and defiantly doesn’t care to pay the tax. The IRS pallbearers will be laden with the weight of unpaid bills.

The ultimate death is to American independence and to the American people whose health will inevitably suffer.

ObamaCare is a tax. ObamaCare is a government takeover. ObamaCare is a usurpation of 1/6 of the American economy. ObamaCare is the monster that will devour American’s renowned medical genius and ingenuity.

Obama deceived America and Obama usurped the legislative branch with his great pretend — that it was not a tax. Upon ObamaCare will be the fall of America unless it is overturned by the people.

Hence the greatness of the United States Constitution, one of the three miracles that made and keep America — the bravery of the men who designed the Declaration of Independence, the victory of the men who won the American Revolutionary War, and the genius of the men who orchestrated the United States Constitution.

Due to the separation of the powers and the three branches of government, Americans can save the republic with their vote in November. The buck does not stop with the Supreme Court. With a Republican majority in Congress and Romney at the helm, Americans can reclaim their independence from defiant, demanding, and duplicitous Democrats — President Obama and the Democratic-controlled Senate.

“They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity,” declared our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence. Sound familiar?

Now all three branches of government have been deaf to the voice of justice for the American people.

It is time to declare a new independence – an independence from the Democrats and progressive liberals who have put us in this place and a call to action to limit bills in Congress to thirty pages so that the American people can understand their legislation and hold their representatives accountable. Otherwise why have a republic? Perhaps this is the agenda of the left — confusion to defy accountability.

Chief Justice Roberts just made Obama accountable. If Republicans win in the executive and legislative branches in November, then Roberts’ gamble will have been worth it. If not, we are doomed.

“…appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, that these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States…,” reads the Declaration of Independence. Sound familiar?

Freedom and independence cannot be upheld with devastating debt and dubious leadership. We must declare ourselves free and independent from the nanny state and an overbearing, intrusive government. The Affordable Care Act is a paradox that carries with it the fatal fate debt that robs us of our independence. We must declare independence. We must act. The election in November is our Revolutionary War.

On this July 4th may we read the Declaration of Independence at our festive gatherings. May we ponder upon our founding fathers’ wisdom as we watch the fireworks in the sky:
