Crazy Man From Alaska Threatened to Kill Supreme Court Justices

What was this about cooling down the political rhetoric again?

A crazy 76-year-old man from Alaska named Panos Anastasiou has been arrested for texting over 400 messages to six Supreme Court Justices (three guesses as to which ones, and the first two don't count) threatening to torture and kill them from March 2023 to January 2024.

As Newsweek described, Anastasiou's texts contained "violent, racist, and homophobic rhetoric coupled with threats of assassination via torture, hanging, and firearms, and encouraged others to participate in the acts of violence."

One such text suggested he wanted to lynch one of the justices and an "unidentified former president" Anastasiou described as a "convicted criminal," according to CBS. Why they do not name Donald Trump is beyond me, though at least they were honest enough to say this guy was "likely" referring to Trump. Sensitivity is a thing since the report doesn't refer to the six justices by name, but is there really a reason to give Trump the Voldemort treatment beyond hating him?

Other lovely things Anastasiou texted the justices include "We should make [Supreme Court Justices 1-6] be AFRAID very AFRAID to leave their home and fear for their lives everyday," and "dared" them to come to his house. That last part makes the least amount of sense because A) Why would these justices visit you? and B) Who wants to go to Alaska?

Much like Willie from Louisiana whom I wrote about yesterday, the guy who praised Trump's would-be assassins Thomas Crooks and Ryan Routh on live television (C-SPAN), Ansastasiou also claimed to be a Vietnam veteran in his texts, encouraging fellow vets and "patriotic" Americans to evidently do a drive-by on the house of one justice and called the wife of another justice a "white trash insurrectionist."

Gee, I wonder what his political affiliation is!

Unsurprisingly, this guy had also donated over $700 through ActBlue, the Democrats' main money laundering organ, with the most recent donation on July 25. And the icing on the cake is that Anastasiou pleaded not guilty to his 22 charges.

So I ask again, what was this about cooling down the political rhetoric again?

This is not the first time some leftist loony has made or tried to enact violent death threats against conservatives. As you may recall, back in 2022, one Nicholas Roske attempted to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh because of the overturning of Roe v. Wade. More recently, in April, I wrote about a guy named Joseph Quade (who is just four years Anastasiou's junior) in Wisconsin who threatened to blow up the office of Eric Hovde, the Republican challenger to Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wisc.)

And now we have just had two attempts on Donald Trump's life in two months. The first, of course, was in Butler, Pa., on July 13, and the second was in Palm Beach, Fla., this past Sunday, Sept. 15. On top of that, we are hearing about people who experienced eye problems after attending the Sept. 12 rally in Tucson, Ariz. Yet the mainstream media continues to scream and cry about how Trump is the one who is an existential danger to muh democracy and must be defeated by any means necessary
