REPORT: Russian Telcos Commit to Sell 1.8 million iPhones

The Apple iPhone has become the status symbol of choice in booming Russia, routinely selling for up to $1000 on the black market where it is smuggled in “blue jean” style by stealth courier.  Now, it appears that Apple has signed deals with Russia’s big telco’s that would guarantee almost 2 million authorized iPhone sales annually.
