On Monday, Harry Potter fans celebrated the 20th anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the book that launched a bestselling young adult fantasy series and a stream of films to boot. The franchise exploded into eight films between 2001 and 2011, launching acting careers and inspiring a generation of kids — and adults.
