DOJ's Julie Fernandes Secret Brownbag with ACS

Julie Fernandes, the Deputy Assistant Attorney General who opposes enforcing federal law to ensure the voter rolls do not have dead and ineligible felon voters, is giving a speech.  But you would hardly know it.  The left wing American Constitution Society is hosting a free lunchtime event with Fernandes on January 25, 2011.  In either unwitting irony or sublime arrogance, the event is called a “brownbag.”  For those following the scandal swirling around Fernandes, I testified, along with Christopher Coates, that Fernandes conducted “brown bag” meetings inside the Voting Section at the DOJ where she announced the law would not be enforced to remove dead voters or to protect all Americans from racial discrimination.

Maybe this explains why the ACS has kept the event largely secret.  No mention of it appears at the ACS events page.  The DC Chapter of ACS, the hosts, makes no mention either.  Never fear, the Tatler has the secret backdoor link where the public can RSVP to the event.  We’d suggest that anyone, including Congressional staff, wanting to ask questions about Fernandes’ view on equal enforcement of the law RSVP.  Congressional committees looking to serve subpoenas on her might also consider attending.
