Rush Limbaugh accurately assessed the Democrats’ motivation for mass illegal migration years ago, and he could have told us not to be surprised by the welfare and Somali fraud scandals uncovered in the last two months.
Today would have been El Rushbo’s birthday, and we sorely miss the Mayor of Realville. But the good news is that many of his observations are still applicable to the Democrat Party and their policies — after all, Democrats have always been anti-American, violent, and elitist, from the early 19th century onwards.
One of Rush’s comments was, “The Democrats need poor, dependent people if they're gonna stay in business. And if we don't have enough poverty at home, we'll import it. That's what our open-borders policy is: It's about importing poverty and importing the number of potential registered voters for the Democrat Party.”
But what also follows from importing poor, dependent people who do not respect our laws is that they will likely continue to abuse our system, and suck up as much in freebies as they possibly can. And here we come to the ongoing Somali fraud scandal.

Some of the Somalis are illegal migrants; others came in by claiming refugee status — not always honestly. The Democrats encouraged these immigrants and other illegal aliens to be entitled and ungrateful, to see every benefit as a right and every American taxpayer as a target for exploitation. If the foreigners were poor, they were told it was because white Americans oppressed them. And being poor and oppressed, why not try to get rich dishonestly by gaming the U.S. system?
The Somalis and other illegal aliens and their American allies who together form the fraud network exposed from Minnesota to Ohio are still dependent. Whether they ship millions of dollar overseas or live off one welfare check at a time, these scammers all rely on a pseudo-socialist federal government system and taxpayer-funded handouts. If Republicans were ever to gut the welfare state, the fraudsters would have no source of income. Even Trump administration cuts to the handouts severely restrict the fraudsters' revenue stream.
This is why the War on Poverty has been a failure for decades -- because redistributing wealth does not solve poverty; it simply creates a dependent poor. Democrats covered up the Somali fraud scandal for the same reason they are trying to hide the scope of the SNAP fraud, with its hundreds of thousands of double dippers and dead people on the recipient list. Democrats want both U.S. citizens and foreigners to be dependent on the government for revenue and never interested in improving their lot through honest hard work.
Democrats also use illegal immigration to destabilize America and rig elections, of course, as Limbaugh also noted. There are several reasons why they continue to gin up violent hatred against ICE officers and the Trump administration. But one of the core reasons behind the disastrous immigration policies of Democrats from Joe Biden to Gavin Newsom is the desire for a large class of permanently dependent and impoverished people. Rush Limbaugh, as always, was right on target about that.
