The Founding Fathers envisioned a country with no mandated religion but with Judeo-Christian principles and prayers in the public square. Modern leftists have driven almost every shred of Judeo-Christianity out of the public square, but they certainly have a mandated religion for schools and institutions—their own Marxist ideology.
From the Biden administration refusing COVID vaccine religious exemptions, to leftists suing businesses that won’t cater to homosexual “weddings,” to Satanic displays in state capitols, to Pride Month usurping Christmas celebrations in schools, it’s obvious leftists are trying to impose a state religious cult of their own. A new outrageous example is the Apache school board member who was told he couldn’t say the Lord’s Prayer as part of the land acknowledgment.
Democrats aren’t secular; they’re sacrilegious—both towards religion and towards our great country. They attack the cross and the Star of David with equal fervor as they attack the American flag. We ought to develop more reverence toward church and state, as the Founders had (incidentally, Donald Trump’s plan for a White House UFC fight on America’s 250th birthday is sacrilegious too — he should do better).
There is no “separation of church and state” phrase in the Constitution, which simply prevented the establishment of a state religion and mandated freedom of conscience. George Washington and Abraham Lincoln specifically ordered public holidays of prayer and religious thanksgiving, Thomas Jefferson attended religious services in executive buildings, and Congress still opens with prayer. But the issue is not that we’ve become “non-religious” in public but that a new religion has replaced Judeo-Christianity: the woke cult. All must bow down to it or face the wrath of the Communist harpies.

Here’s a story that’s the height of irony. Arizona’s Phoenix Union (PXU) school board member Jeremiah Cota, a pro-lifer and self-described “Tribal Member of the Free People of the San Carlos Apache,” shared a video on August 8 showing that he was shut down during a board meeting for trying to recite the Our Father prayer because … the “land acknowledgment” could not include any prayer. Yes, that’s right, the leftists on the board rudely told a native Apache tribesman he had to halt his prayer and exclude it from his reading of the acknowledgment that they were on land originally owned by native tribes. Talk about massive self-satire.

Cota posted on X, “Last night, @PhoenixUnion Board President and parliamentarian shut me down for reading the Lord's prayer. The ruling by the parliamentarian, ‘We cannot have a religious prayer before the land acknowledgement.’ I was ruled out of order yet simultaneously told the board doesn't follow Roberts [sic] rules of order, it's merely a suggestion. Our Phoenix Union Board policies state otherwise.”
Cota added, “Additionally, I made multiple attempts for roll call on action items and a motion to adjourn, all were swiftly ignored by Board President Napa simply with ‘No’. Again, our board policies prescribe the President must do otherwise.” The message the waspish women on the board who steamrolled him seemed to be sending was that Cota, like the land acknowledgment, was just supposed to be a token for the board. They’re not going to vacate the land nor are they interested in his beliefs. He’s not allowed to have original opinions or publicly espouse a religion aside from their leftist cult. How dare that brown-skinned man be proudly Christian!!! Doesn’t he know the state religion is wokeism?!?!
Likewise, Democrats lost their puny brains over rules in Alabama and Texas mandating 10 Commandments displays in classrooms. Our country was founded on the moral teachings in the 10 Commandments, and simply displaying them in schools doesn’t impinge on any non-Jew’s or non-Christian’s religious belief and practice. No Muslim will have her hijab torn off, and no atheist will be forced to sign a creed, because of the displays.
But Democrats are not furious because religion is being allowed back into public schools. They are furious because they want only their religion allowed in public schools. After all, if children start living by the 10 Commandments, they will reject LGBTQ ideology, tyrannical government, race-baiting hatred, and other key Democrat tenets. And that is why Democrats, like true Marxists, are so fanatically determined to crush Judeo-Christianity in the public square and replace it with their idolatrous political cult.
