Democrats encourage Americans to develop an entitlement mentality. That way, lazy, obnoxious users demand other people’s property as their right, and the Marxists manufacture and maintain the war between “classes."
Exhibit A: a TikToker who is furious that Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is working with states to end the use of food stamps for junk food. Because, according to this perfect example of a brainwashed Marxist minion, she deserves brownies and lollipops, and you and I ought to pay for her to get them. And if we don’t want to surrender huge chunks of our hard-earned paychecks so she can stuff her face, then we are supposedly the entitled ones.
The loony lefty sneered, “There are people that genuinely think that people who use EBT don't deserve soda, candy, or desserts.” Gasp! The horror! Cakes and Tootsie Rolls are not human rights! “You're gonna tell me that my daughter doesn't deserve a popsicle,” snipped the TikToker, her voice becoming nastier with every sentence. “You're gonna tell me I don't deserve to get brownies, and all I'm hearing is, ‘Be grateful. Be grateful. It's free food.’ Get off of your throne of entitlement.” Because apparently refusing to buy strangers ice cream is entitlement.
It is worth noting that in some ways, Democrats never change, and one way they never change is that they have always believed that they have an absolute right to the labor of others. In the 19th century, this expressed itself in the form of slavery, and in the 21st century, it expresses itself in the form of welfare. Whenever a leftist says there is a right to healthcare, a right to housing, or, in this case, a right to junk food, what the person is really saying is that he has a right to force you to work and to turn over the profits of your work to him. Break out the shackles and slave catchers while you’re at it.
Any form of welfare is un-American and dangerous, but it should be especially obvious to any rational individual that there is absolutely no justification for applying food stamps to junk food. Junk food is not only not a necessity; it is not even healthy, and there could not possibly be a need for buying it. The problem is that the TikToker, thanks to leftist propaganda, has confused what she wants with her rights. Democrats encourage people to believe wrongly that if they desire something, others owe it to them. The Founding Fathers wisely recognized a right to the pursuit of happiness, not to happiness itself.

MRCTV’s Brittany Hughes had some excellent points about the TikToker. “I can't help but notice your nice new highlights and your perfect manicure while you sit there and tell me that I need to buy your brownies and your kid’s popsicles because you can't afford them,” Hughes said. “I'm trying to figure out how to pay my own bills and keep my head above water, and now I gotta sit here and listen to you whine into the iPhone you somehow managed to buy about how I need to foot your junk food bill, because you deserve it, and if I don't pony up, somehow I'm entitled. Let me tell you something, you are not entitled to my paycheck. What you deserve is whatever you can buy with the money that you earned, and your kid doesn't need a popsicle, she needs a mother who teaches her about dignity and personal responsibility, of which you clearly have none.”
The TikToker truly is the poster child for why we shouldn’t have unconstitutional and socialist welfare programs at all. Maybe if she spent less time whining like a brat on social media, she’d have more time to look for a job and earn money for food, just like all of us taxpayers who are forced to surrender the money we earn to fund socialist programs for ungrateful leeches like her.
