Trump’s Treasury pick Scott Bessent is absolutely right — America is in an energy race with Communist China, and under the Biden administration, China is on track to win. Hopefully under the new Trump administration that will change because otherwise, America’s grid is in serious trouble.
While Communist China feverishly builds ever more coal plants to ensure a supply of reliable energy, America under the Biden administration pushed for more dependence on toxic, unreliable, and unprofitable “green” energy — which incidentally depends on Chinese refining and manufacturing. We do not have enough land to make the switch to “green” energy (yes, really), nor would it be at all wise to do so, considering how totally unreliable “green” energy is. And the last thing we should be doing right now is weakening our grid while our number one enemy strengthens theirs.

Bessent calmly replied to a hysterical Democrat senator at his confirmation hearing, “Sen. Wyden, just so we can frame this for everyone in the room, China will build 100 new coal plants this year. There is not a clean energy race; there is an energy race. China will build ten nuclear plants this year, that is, not solar. I am in favor of building more nuclear plants and I would note that the IRA [Inflation Reduction Act], as scored by the CBO [Congressional Budget Office], is wildly out of control of spending on the upside.”

First of all, the rare earths and other metals essential for solar panels, EV batteries, and wind turbines are not only tied to child labor in Africa for mining, but the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) controls much of that mining. Even worse, besides mining the rare earths at home (with Uyghur slaves) and abroad, the CCP controls about 90% of the world’s rare earths processing. Of course, America could do rare earth mining and refining, but we don’t, because “save the environment.” The environmental regulations at home preclude the toxic manufacture of “green” turbines, batteries, and panels. So we just fund our worst enemy to do the same thing with worse environmental conditions and slave labor.
Incidentally, our electronics nearly all rely on those same rare earths. That's something to think about.

And in China, everything in the economic and tech spheres is accessible to the genocidal CCP’s military. The CCP reportedly told its people in 2019 that it was entering a war phase with the U.S., and we’re helping them fight us!

As of last year, Visual Capitalist Elements reported that Communist China absolutely dominates the global solar panel supply chain. China controls a staggering 75% of “every single key stage of solar photovoltaic panel manufacturing and processing,” VC Elements stated. Furthermore, as of 2021, Chinese companies scored 7 out of 10 on the list of the world’s top manufacturers of wind turbines. The green energy craze merely enriches Communist China.
Not to mention, “green” energy is actually terrible for the environment. Solar panels and wind turbines have killed billions of birds, for instance, and offshore wind turbines can also be deadly for whales. Besides killing wildlife, solar panels and wind turbines also generate a whole lot of toxic waste. The environmental benefits of “green” energy are as fake as the alleged climate crisis.
Multiple American states have already suffered from the effects of having grids dependent on “clean” energy. It would be an electric, economic, and national security catastrophe to increase falsely named “green” energy dependence in America.
