The Biden administration just reiterated its dedication to making the federal government entirely “clean” or “green energy” powered by 2030. This is an impossible goal, but it’s also an idiotic one, as deceptively labeled “clean” energy is actually very toxic, unprofitable, and inefficient.
The Biden administration and their fellow Marxists love to name everything based on the exact opposite of what reality is. Thus the Inflation Reduction Act, for instance, made inflation worse. But “clean” or “green” energy is one of the biggest scams. There is no climate crisis, and certainly not a man-made one, and it’s hard to find an energy source as destructive to the environment and wildlife as green energy, from solar panels to wind turbines to electric vehicles (EVs).
Solar panels and wind turbines take up vast amounts of land (or ocean), and both solar panels and wind turbinesgenerate a lot of toxic waste, not to mention the fact that they kill birds and whales. It is almost impossible to reclaim land for any other purpose once wind turbines have been installed. And, if America went fully electric as the Biden administration claims to want, including electric vehicles, it would require half of the U.S. landmass to put up solar and wind farms. Then there’s the fact that solar and wind are very unreliable and inefficient. Europe has already seen skyrocketing energy costs and devastating energy failures since turning to “green” energy, and the Biden administration is trying to bring that nightmare to America.
A June 18 press release from the Biden Department of Defense (DOD) enthusiastically announced:
The Department of Defense (DoD) announced at Fort Liberty today, a first-of-its-kind partnership with Duke Energy to power five military installations in North and South Carolina with carbon-free electricity [CFE]… Through this action, DoD is delivering on President Biden's goal to power the federal government with 100 percent clean energy by 2030, and to do so in ways that are good for the taxpayer and the American economy…
With more than 300,000 buildings and 600,000 vehicles, the U.S. Government is the nation's largest energy consumer. In December 2021, President Biden issued the Federal Sustainability Plan, which directed the Government to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 … the Plan directs the Government to transition to 100% CFE by 2030 … the U.S. Government has signed agreements to provide Federal facilities in 16 states with 100% CFE by 2030, which will increase the U.S. Government's reliance on clean energy from 38% to 47% en route to 100% by 2030.
Actually, this is a shameful waste of taxpayer money, to the tune of $248 million+. Secondly, it is literally impossible to have “carbon free” electricity. This shouldn’t disturb us, since carbon is absolutely essential for all life on earth, and there is evidence that increased carbon is beneficial for plants, for instance (including food crops). There is evidence as well that fossil fuel carbon emissions are too low to drive global warming, and warming temperatures actually make ecosystems thrive, so don’t feel guilty about your SUV or gas stove.
Thirdly, take a look again at how many facilities the U.S. government has — 300,000 buildings and 600,000 vehicles. To give you an idea of how much electricity would be necessary to achieve just Biden’s goal of transitioning to electric vehicles, in Joliet, Illinois, 30 electric trucks would have required more power than the whole city, which has a population of about 150,000 people. Again, think about that for a moment — only 30 electric trucks would have needed more electric power than a city of over 150,000 people. And the Biden administration, with its 600,000 vehicles, wants to go electric? Can’t anyone in the federal government do basic math?
Again, to quote Nobel Prize-winning scientist John Clauser, there is “no climate crisis.” We have no need to ditch fossil fuels, and, even if we did, solar and wind and EVs are so toxic as to be anything but beneficial to the environment. “Clean energy” is an expensive and harmful non-solution to a problem that doesn’t exist. But that would pretty much describe every policy of the woke Biden administration.
