Even as the Biden administration continues to commit millions of taxpayer dollars to unreliable and toxic “green” energy, America’s number one enemy is claiming to have topped the list of global oil refiners.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) definitely wants to supersede America as the dominant world power, and unfortunately the China-pandering Biden administration seems all too happy to further that goal. Even as leftist climate alarmists in America try to wreck our reliable energy sector, the CCP is eager to do the exact opposite for their own energy.
CCP state propaganda outlet China Daily bragged on March 2: “China's annual oil refining capacity rose to 936 million tonnes in 2023, ranking first in the world, a report said.” The outlet continued, “China's oil consumption was about 756 million tonnes last year, and its crude oil processing was 738 million tonnes, both reaching record highs, according to the report issued from a research institute under the China National Petroleum Corporation.”
Now, one always has to take what the CCP says with a grain of salt, but several facts can be stated. Firstly, Communist China had the top global refining capacity last year. Secondly, China is trying to up its output and refining of such reliable energy sources as oil and coal, including by building hundreds of new coal plants. Thirdly, even as the U.S.-hating CCP tries to increase its coal and oil supply and output, the Biden administration here in America is deliberately sabotaging our energy grid and supply in service of woke climate ideology.
For instance, Fox News recently reported that the Biden administration earmarked a staggering $366 million for 17 projects to bring green energy to “Native American reservations and in other rural areas.” This is a horrible waste of taxpayer money, as supposedly green energy is actually toxic, unprofitable, unreliable, and inefficient. It uses up vast amounts of land (including farmland), kills wildlife, and is unable to sustain the grid as we know it.

But this $366 million effort is only one of multiple expensive commitments the Biden administration has made to green energy, while simultaneously sabotaging the gas industry. The administration also has aims to ban gas-powered vehicles and appliances. All of this is to achieve the impossible goal of “net zero” carbon emissions, even though there is no climate crisis and carbon is actually essential and helpful to all life on earth.
With the Biden administration here at home, who needs the CCP as an enemy?
