As the head of the World Economic Forum (WEF) announces a new age replete with artificial intelligence and genetic engineering, it’s important to recall how WEF previously and terrifyingly described its ideal world.
How would you like a society where the government tracks every move you make, where ordinary citizens have no private cars, and where you own nothing — not even your cooking equipment? That’s the society WEF previously mapped out, and, based on the new comments of WEF head Klaus Schwab, it seems WEF has not given up on weaponizing tech to bring about its glorious authoritarian dystopia.
LifeSiteNews reported that Schwab, delivering an address at the World Government Summit, pontificated, “Envisioning a future propelled by the technologies of the fourth industrial revolution we see a new dawn of human civilization – one that harmonizes technology with the deepest needs and aspirations of humanity.” Schwab knows because he consulted the seer of seers: ChatGPT. And, as we know, AI programmed by woke leftists is the best guide for humanity to follow.
He continued, “This mission unfolds within a society where artificial intelligence, robotics, the Internet of Things, 3D-printing, genetic engineering, quantum computing become the foundations of our daily life, yet are guid[ed] by a profound respect for human values, creativity, and the natural world.” Oh, goody, genetic engineering in daily life! Nothing like playing at being god! “With this new intelligent age, technology is not merely a tool or an extension of human capabilities; it is a partner in shaping the world where every individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential,” Schwab intoned, per LifeSiteNews.

WEF published a piece in 2016 entitled, “Welcome to 2030: I own nothing, have no privacy, and life has never been better.” While the piece occasionally pops up on the WEF website or in other pieces, the link only brings up the message, “Sorry, but we can’t find the page you were looking for.” In fact, WEF seemingly purged the disturbing plan from both its website and Forbes sometime last year. Why? Has WEF changed its goals since then?
It doesn’t appear so. WEF is still praising the genocidal dictatorship of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), still telling people to be poor for the planet, still demanding censorship, still hailing the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and still preaching a new era of tech-government control. One of WEF’s partners, Arup Group, is part of a plan to “end” “private car ownership” and severely restrict travel to combat the fake climate crisis.
Worst of all, WEF released a plan for a digital ID required to do or buy anything. If you want to vote, travel, bank, buy, own a tech device, or receive medical care, you’d have to have a digital ID, and thus not have offended the authorities in charge of that digital ID. In WEF’s favorite country, Communist China, a similar digital ID functions as a social credit score to punish any political or religious dissidents. Ultimately, WEF hasn’t changed its elitist, globalist, anti-liberty goals — it’s just become a little sneakier in its rhetoric.
So what was in that “Welcome to 2030” piece that WEF deleted? You can read the full text on Substack, but below are a few selections that show you just how authoritarian the WEF has been for years. Pay particular attention to the last Orwellian paragraph:
Welcome to the year 2030. Welcome to my city — or should I say, “our city”. I don’t own anything. I don’t own a car. I don’t own a house. I don’t own any appliances or any clothes… It made no sense for us to own cars anymore, because we could call a driverless vehicle or a flying car for longer journeys within minutes. We started transporting ourselves in a much more organized and coordinated way when public transport became easier, quicker and more convenient than the car…
In our city we don’t pay any rent, because someone else is using our free space whenever we do not need it. My living room is used for business meetings when I am not there.
Once in awhile, I will choose to cook for myself. It is easy — the necessary kitchen equipment is delivered at my door within minutes. Since transport became free, we stopped having all those things stuffed into our home… Shopping? I can’t really remember what that is. For most of us, it has been turned into choosing things to use. Sometimes I find this fun, and sometimes I just want the algorithm to do it for me. It knows my taste better than I do by now.
When AI and robots took over so much of our work, we suddenly had time to eat well, sleep well and spend time with other people… Once in awhile I get annoyed about the fact that I have no real privacy. No where I can go and not be registered. I know that, somewhere, everything I do, think and dream of is recorded. I just hope that nobody will use it against me.
It’s no coincidence that WEF is so enamored of CCP dictators and speech-crushing politicians, that WEF partnered with more than one government to roll out its dystopian digital ID. WEF might have made some modifications to its 2016 dream, but its core opinions have not changed in the slightest. WEF wants you to own nothing, have no privacy, and shut up about it, or it will destroy your life as well as your liberty.
