Barbara Walters is Really, Really Fascinated with Hillary Clinton

What did Hillary Clinton actually do in 2013?

Not a lot. She departed her post as Secretary of State — not the first woman to hold that office, nor the most accomplished — amid accurate accusations that she left four Americans in her charge to die at the hands of terrorists, and then lied about it. Then she went mostly silent, building up a campaign to run for the presidency in 2016. She used her husband as a foil once or twice to have a go at Obamacare. Her most famous quote from recent times: “What difference, at this point, does it make?”

None, to Barbara Walters. Leaving four Americans to die and then lying about it makes no difference at all.

Other than the scandal that left bloodstains on her hands, and her subsequent assault on the First Amendment, Hillary Clinton was doing pretty much the same thing that Rick Santorum, Mike Huckabee and other 2016 hopefuls were doing. She was building a campaign, lining up money and support, weakening her rivals.

But Barbara Walters finds Clinton “the most fascinating person of 2013.”

This marks the third time that Walters has been deeply fascinated with the bland Mandarin, destroyer of bimbo eruptions and master of law firm record cover-ups. Walters has found Clinton fascinating in every job she has held since she emerged on the national scene — as First Lady in 1993, as senator in 2003, and whatever Clinton is in 2013.

Every ten years then, Walters runs a Hillary Clinton informercial and dresses it up as “news.”
