Democrat operative Ed Krassenstein, responding on X to a post from Stephen Miller about violent migrant crime, parrots the oft-repeated progressive talking point that, akshually, “American citizens commit violent crimes at a higher rate than undocumented immigrants do.”
“That’s a fact. Undocumented immigrants actually reduce the crime rate in America. Fact check this @grok,” he adds.
Grok complied with the request, saying:

This tired old argument from proponents of replacement migration is dumb, in that, even if it were true that illegal immigrants commit less violent crime than natives — and there a lot of vectors to attack that claim, including that illegal immigrant victims of crime, probably the lion’s share of the victims of violent crime perpetrated by illegal migrants in the same way that every racial group is most likely to be victimized by members of the same racial group, and illegal immigrants are notoriously hesitant to report crimes to police out of fear — the reality is that none of the illegal immigrants should be here in the first place.
Ergo, every violent crime they commit should not have happened and is therefore a needless addition to the violent crime rate.
Of course, as many have noted before, the entire point of leftist discourse is to pretend not to comprehend basic concepts, thereby eliminating the need for them to ever engage honestly with them.
Scottish police are not accurately recording the ethnicity of suspects

In what is perhaps a very apropos segue from the previous segment, after investing millions of pounds into technology to record the ethnicity of suspects, police in Scotland are reportedly not accurately recording the data as required, allegedly under pressure from the Scottish Police Authority (SPA).

Police Scotland has been warned it is not recording DNA ethnicity data correctly amid a row around allegations of institutional racism within the force.
Former chief constable Sir Iain Livingstone said Police Scotland “is institutionally racist and discriminatory” months before he retired in August 2023.
The Scottish Biometrics Commissioner, Dr Brian Plastow, has now called on Police Scotland and the Scottish Police Authority (SPA) to review procedures for recording ethnicity when it collects DNA or other biometric data following arrest – saying in a report failure to do so correctly is “concerning”…
The 2022 Scottish census noted 1.3% of the population is of black heritage – however, no details about ethnicity are recorded on the Scottish DNA Database (SDNAD), which is almost 30 years old, meaning experts are unable to establish if there is over-representation*.
A decade after a £6 million investment in world-class DNA technology in the Scottish Crime Campus in Gartcosh, North Lanarkshire, the benefits “have not been fully realised”, and 70% of the profiles are of a lower scientific standard due to a failure to re-test offenders, the report warned.
Properly recording data would support Police Scotland’s equality duties and help maintain public confidence, amid allegations of “institutional racism”, supported by Chief Constable Jo Farrell, it is said.
*I think we all know what the data would indicate in terms of the racial distribution of crime suspects compared with their respective share of the population.
As noted before, I’m frankly shocked that European police have been allowed to record the national identity of perps up until now.
