Come November, because the infinitely benevolent Congressional Democrats insist on giving illegal aliens healthcare, the federal government shutdown may trigger food stamp cuts to the tens of millions of Americans who rely on them, according to Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins.

Roughly 42 million people are at risk of losing critical food assistance in November amid the federal government shutdown. And it’s not clear whether the Trump administration will step in to find the funds to continue paying benefits, as it has with other priorities.
The food stamp program will run out of money in two weeks, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins told reporters at the White House on Thursday.
“So you’re talking about millions and millions of vulnerable families, of hungry families that are not going to have access to these programs because of this shutdown,” she said.
Like other members of the Trump administration, Rollins cast blame on the Democrats, posting on X Thursday that they are putting “their political agenda ahead of food security for American families.”

You’ll be shocked to learn that the rate of African-Americans receiving food stamps is nearly ten times the rate of non-Hispanic white people enrolled in federal food assistance.

Rates are shown for five broad race-ethnic groups: Hispanics, non-Hispanic Whites, non-Hispanic Blacks, American Indians and Alaska Natives, and Asian and Pacific Islanders. Participation rates vary markedly across the groups. American Indians and Alaska Natives have the highest rates of participation in all programs except housing assistance, and non-Hispanic Blacks have the second highest. Hispanics have high rates of participation in all programs except housing, and their rates overall are not far below those of non-Hispanic Blacks. Non-Hispanic Whites, and Asians and Pacific Islanders, on the other hand, have the lowest rates, with Asians and Pacific Islanders having somewhat higher rates of participation in most of the programs, especially Medicaid, than non-Hispanic Whites.
According to the report above, compared to 2.7% of white people, 23.3% of black people in the United States receive food stamps benefits, second only to Native Americans, 24.5% of whom are on food assistance. (These figures do not include housing and other federal benefits; including those, over half of all American blacks receive federal welfare.)

Uniformly obese EBT recipients have taken to social media to pledge they will shoplift whatever they feel like taking from retailers if their food stamps are cut back in November due to the ongoing government shutdown.
I’ve literally seen dozens of these videos without having to look very hard — and there are surely exponentially more out there — but here’s a smattering of welfare people not just threatening to steal whatever suits their fancy but actually to assault or kill any staff who try to intercede.

I’m not really a social Darwinist in the sense that I don’t think the foundation for a functional society/ or government should be to allow the unfit to just die in the streets, as doing so is dehumanizing to all parties involved and degrading to civilization.
If there is going to be a society, its foundation has to be some kind of social contract, as it were, that fosters basic decency, cooperation, and subsistence-level assistance for members who can’t provide for themselves. Ayn Rand proponents will disagree, and that’s fine.
In any event, can we be said to have a society if a large swathe of the country doesn’t actually believe in any of the above? Whose ideology boils down to “give me free stuff, whitey,” as evidenced by their recent social media meltdowns?
