Let no one say that Jim Acosta has never provided any valuable insight.
He has just proven in spades, undeniably, the following truth:
The bobbleheads in makeup who grace television screens in airports and doctor’s office waiting rooms with captive audiences are not popular, nor are they talented. They have no charisma. Left to their own devices, where they have to compete for actual attention with independent media, they flail into obscurity.

We have, of course, seen this phenomenon before.
Don Lemon, another paper tiger, isn’t exactly going gangbusters on his own.
But perhaps nowhere is the total lack of any popular support for these talking heads clearer than the case of Jim Acosta, former CNN White House correspondent who, you might have heard, left the network a couple of weeks ago.
The network wanted to move him into the proverbial basement, a bridge too far for Acosta’s pampered ego.
So he quit.

Acosta announced his departure Tuesday at the end of his one-hour morning show on the network, telling viewers: “Don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to the fear.”
He didn’t specifically tie those sentiments to Trump, but the implication was clear. CNN says its decision to move Acosta out of the daylight and into a time slot to begin at midnight Eastern time had nothing to do with politics…
CNN announced last week — Trump’s first week back in office — that it was shuffling its daytime lineup to move Wolf Blitzer into Acosta’s 10 a.m. Eastern time slot, paired with Pamela Brown. The network said it had offered Acosta a job at midnight and would move him to Los Angeles, where his show would air at 9 p.m., and also simulcast the program on CNN International.
But Acosta, who has been at CNN for 18 years, said Tuesday he had turned that down.
Jim Acosta, mind you, was a vaunted superstar for years over at CNN — the guy when it came to all things federal executive. The network turned into a #Resistance hero during the first Trump administration when he covered the White House.
He got famous among the #Resistance libs for his numerous allegedly brave clashes with the President, such as when he parsed Trump’s use of the term “invasion” in reference to the hordes of migrants that the Democrats and multinational NGOs had dumped into the country in a military-style operation before smearing him as a Russian puppet.

How’s Acosta doing now that he’s struck out on his own?
Not well.
He hosted Beto “Hell yes, we are going to take your AR-15” O’Rourke on his personal YouTube channel recently. After being up for 4 days, the video has garnered a grand total of 447 views.
Your average teenager could probably post a video of him narrating the cutting of his toenails onto his personal X account and get more views.
