Three data points to be considered. One, the GOP has passed the Democrats in the generic Congressional ballot. The shutdown is pretty much forgotten, says John Fund.

I recall after the government-shutdown battle ended in mid October that liberal pundits were talking about the death of the Republican party, burdened by what they saw as extremists and incompetents who would be rejected en masse by voters in 2014. Democrats held a 50–42 edge among registered voters in a generic ballot test done in a CNN poll around that time.

I won’t argue the shutdown was smart politics or policy, but the Republicans now look like geniuses compared to the party that brought us Obamacare. That program’s manifest failings has caused a dramatic shift in public opinion, as measured by the latest CNN poll. It shows a ten-point swing from the previous month’s survey in the generic ballot: Republicans now hold a 49 percent to 47 percent edge when voters are asked to choose if they want a Democrat or Republican to win next year.

Two, Democrats in vulnerable seats are tied up hoping that Healthcare.gov will actually work on December 1. Politico reports:

“The president and his team have repeatedly assured us that the system will be working by Dec. 1. That’s when I start looking at what we have to do in our oversight function to hold the administration accountable for making it work.” Rep. Bruce Braley, an Iowa Democrat who is running for an open Senate seat said Thursday, adding that he’s contemplating whether to ask the president to fire members of his staff.

We should be long past the point of firing people in this administration, but a poor manager doesn’t even know which of his workers ought to be fired. And Barack Obama is a poor manager. That’s not partisan guttersnipe me talking, it’s the majority of the voters talking.

The kicker: Healthcare.gov won’t be working on December 1. Everyone suspected this, now the White House is sending up the smoke signals, according to the Hill.

Administration officials said Monday that some visitors to ObamaCare’s federal enrollment site would experience outages, slow response times or messages to try again later during the month of December.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) delivered the message in the latest attempt to downplay expectations surrounding Nov. 30, the administration’s self-imposed deadline for fixing HealthCare.gov.

CMS spokeswoman Julie Bataille said errors that persist past this weekend would be “intermittent” and, in line with a promise made by the White House, would not affect the vast majority of the site’s users.

But Bataille acknowledged that some people would still experience “periods of suboptimal performance” by the system due to either heavy traffic or technical issues that are still being addressed.

“The system will not work perfectly on Dec. 1, but it will work much better than it did in October,” Bataille said.

On the domestic front, then, it’s three strikes against Obama. He has lost his influence on daily events. The only thing he can offer Democrats at this point is campaign help through his OfA groups. That’s not nothing, but it’s not everything either.

Wonder what Chuckey Schumer thinks of the black boy toy in the WH now. Everybody's favorite stone cold momma's boy just ratcheted up the peril.

I read Chuckey is mightily upset that Iran might get nukes and Israel will then be in the cross hairs. But Chuckey has no problem with the nuclear blowout that just took down our healthcare system. That doesn't bother him so much apparently. Chuckey who has used his Jewishness as a sword and a shield with his constituency is facing quite a dilemma. Should he continue to push for the support of Obama and the fascist takeover of the health care economy and rile up many, should he shut his big yap about healthcare but flap it around about Israel? Either way he isn't going to make Obama look good. Funny how going nuclear on our healthcare doesn't bother Chuckey one bit. Israel? That's another story. As a constituent who could LOSE my life because of the nuclear option of Obamacare I demand to know why.

You know....IF some powerful, entrenched neo-communists (led by Bubba, of course) got together with some powerful media types, and together decided the messiah was taking the whole neo-communist movement over the cliff for a generation....they might just try to mitigate the damage somehow by turning on Dear Leader to save themselves........NAAAAAH - They would lose the coveted votes of blacks and the baby killers, and hell, they can STILL BLAME BUSH ;) For better or worse, they are stuck with this clown for life....like GENITAL HERPES.

No Democrat will "abandon" Obama.

Neither will the Propaganda Machine.

In fact, no real disagreement will ever take place. The Party...demands fealty.

Over God, over country, and most certainly over any opposition .

Black Democrats won't and white Democrats can't.

Odd, that's the same line we get from the Carl Rove wing of the Republican Party, while election results consistently show them to be completely wrong.

Conservatives who can communicate their values and who stand strong in the face of opposition keep winning elections.

These days the MSM can be inferred thinking sneaky little post-Obama thoughts about when this clown is out of office and their reputations are in the toilet and flushed. They might be doing a version of what the lefty contributors on Fox look like they’re doing: trying to put some discrete daylight between O and the sacred dem party.

The mullahs want the bomb so they can kill lots of people without entering into another Iran-Iraq war meatgrinder. They believe that their designated victims will be so traumatized in the aftermath and overawed by their militant bloodlust that will cave. They believe that the US and Israel will be too tender-hearted to nuke their populations in retaliation and therefore they win on first strike. They're mullahs; they can think these thoughts.

"....like GENITAL HERPES."

Congratulations!

That is the finest, most descriptive, most accurate analogy I have ever heard for the Obama regime. I really like it, and with your permission, I will use it frequently in referring to the plague currently afflicting Washington.

Yep. The Democrats have party discipline down pat.

Nor should that be surprising to us, and that Republicans can't manage it.

Think about it - which group is all about individual liberty, and which group is all about group-think?

I agree, but its going to be interesting to see what happens when more and more people (including neo-commies) lose their medical care, have costs skyrocket, lose their long-trusted doctors (especially pediatric), and worst of all....start losing loved ones to the death panel. Not even OUR treasonous media can hide those events because they're going to happen to almost everybody.

First, with 5% of the population affected by Obamacare now, that will hit Christmas shopping, likely causing a 1% drop from predictions, enough to send many retailers (JCPenney anyone?) to bankruptcy. This could tilt us into a recession. When the recession hits, then Democrats will push for delaying the employer mandate significantly beyond the 2014 elections. While just 5 million were affected by the individual mandate, 50-100 million will be affected by the employer mandate.

The Obamacare mess can cause a wave election that can make 1994 look like a great Democrat victory, where even "safe" Democrats in deep blue states will be struggling.
