Best-selling Chicago-based author Brad Thor says he has been told that the Obama campaign is considering a move to demoralize Romney supporters early on Election Day.
Citing a “very solid source” in Chicago, Thor says the Obama campaign is looking to make it appear to voters that they have “this thing sewed up and are less than 24 hours to victory,” according to his source.
Meanwhile, team Obama will also urge voters to get out and vote so they can say they were part of the important 2012 election that resulted in a second term for Obama.
While Thor can’t reveal his source, he told TheBlaze multiple times that the source is very reliable.
The flip side of the coin, the author explained, is that the Obama campaign is counting on the mainstream media to drive home their narrative should they implement this strategy.
Does seem like the kind of thing President Revenge would consider? Does it seem like the kind of thing the mainstream media that remains in love with Obama would amplify? Yes, actually, it does.

Just read your story, and had to chuckle at the coincidence. About an hour ago, I told my wife that the polls on the East Coast had been open for two hours, and she should turn on the TV to see if the LSM was already calling Obama the winner in hopes of keeping voters in other time zones home!!
I think even the media would not go with this. Because the only thing left to pull out of the bag of tricks would be outright blatant and widespread illegalities, thus at the point of winning by media voter suppresiion the Committees of Correspondence would need to be formed.
Suppression, not however I spelled it.
Well, so far anyway, the strategy seems to have been a bust. I simply can’t imagine any Romney voters staying home because the Obama campaign claims to have it “all sewed up.” I’m in California. Almost nothing in this freaking state goes my way, but even so my husband and I are going out to breakfast to celebrate our democratic Republic and then will drop off our absentee ballots–and two Romney votes–at the county election office. It’s the American way.
Sukie – Are you positively sure your absentee ballot will be counted on election day? Here in my state, voting absentee ends before election day/
NOBAMA.
In California, absentee ballots must be received by the time the polls close on election day. They are counted last or, under some circumstances, not at all.
In every Presidential election since ’72 I’ve lived in Alaska, five and now four times zones from Eastern. Until ’83, the western parts of the State were as much as ten time zones from Eastern. For most of those years it was common to hear on the evening news as you drove home from work who’d won the National election already. Down-ballot races were and are the only real reason to bother to vote though one day those three EVs might matter and the first major Presidential candidate since Nixon in ’60 might actually make a campaign appearance here. We have a very significant military and transient population here and it might make a difference to voters with minimal attachment to the State and their district but voting for State legislators and the Congress is what motivates most voters not the Presidential race.
Just one more vile, unethical, immoral trick from the cesspool known as the democratic party and their bag of tricks. Somehow, I don’t think that would fly. democrats are correct when they assume their supporters are incredibly dumb, but there are a whole lot of non democrats that just aren’t that dumb.
In addition to every thing else said–with the near-universal bias of the DMM, it is clear that the ability to effect voter turnout ala 2000 in West Florida is a permanent problem not going away. (I believe there was a similar problem in 1980, hurting West Coast Democrats, and of course there was 2004.)
The strength of a Republic does not turn upon news organizations being able to cover the election results minute by minute. It does turn on people voting if they have a desire and intent to do so, and for turnout not to be targeted deliberately. Therefore, the following two things are needed to prevent demagoguery and media manipulation:
1.) No precinct returns can be released until 1.)state elections–last poll has closed. 2.) national elections–last state poll has closed. In the days of the Founding, it took weeks to learn results.
2.) Laws need to be amended extending “no-campaigning” restrictions to include exit polls, and to extend the restriction zone to the parking lot of any polling location.
No more 2004s or 2000s.
Haven’t looked at US MSM yet, but the blaring headline at the UK Telegraph “Obama: “We’ve got the votes to win’”. Seems like Thor was right.
