Who in the Obama Administration Has the Guts to Put Their Faith Above Politics?

We’ve learned today that an array of powerful individuals within the president’s inner circle tried to persuade him not to issue the abortifacient/sterilization mandate on religious institutions. Among them are Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, and his recently departed chief of staff, Bill Daley. There is no indication that Daley left in protest over this policy. All of these and others who weighed in against the policy are Catholic. Yet not one has put their beliefs in line with their protests.

One high level resignation accompanied by a statement of principle might help change the president’s mind. Who in this administration will put their principles above their position, and have the guts to walk out on this president for smashing the wall separating church and state?
