America Gets a Wake-Up Call
Reading the unemployment numbers for May (can you imagine what the real ones would be?), your lefty-liberal friends should be ashamed of themselves — at least those that aren’t committed, Cloward-Piven style, to the fall of the U.S. You know, those who wish to bankrupt our country so that it can be rebuilt as a glorious socialism… like, say, Czechoslovakia circa 1962.
But what we have may be worse than Cloward–Piven. It’s accidental Cloward-Piven. Cloward-Piven out of ineptitude.
I don’t need to see Obama’s hidden college grades. I know he’s a failure.
I don’t need to read The Amateur. I know he’s an amateur.
The sad thing is we are all paying for it — not to mention our children and our children’s children.
We’re not about to become Greece. We are Greece. Those of us who live in California are already Greece squared.
Liberalism is not only dead, it’s decomposed. We’d better inter it this November or we are all fools.

Your problem, and your salvation, is that you are an idealist in the pure form. These other people you rail against are cold and calculating totalitarians and brigands. They use the idealist mantle in the same way a wolf would don sheep’s clothing.
Pajamas is my go to place when I want to be entertained. Where else can you find a cacophony of old men and women kvetching with each other (hands waving in air for extra effect) over the kid on their front lawn (President Obama)? You guys make Mr. Wilson look like Bob Dylan! Hopefully, you’ll will all learn to mellow out over the next four years of the Obama Administration.
Pages views is page views.
That kid (Obama) is not “on the front lawn,” he’s left a burning bag of dog poop in front of the door and now he’s across the street with his Choom-smoking buddies watching as the homeowner triest to put it out, laughing his butt off.
2008: “Hope and Change.” 2012: “Ignorance and Incompetence.” I hope you’re mellow when we send him back home to Chicago in January.
Hey! I live in Chicago (I know. I know.)
Can’t we send him to France?
I think we should just send him to Venezuela – there will be the perfect opening there for him in the position he dreams of – dictator for life – very very shortly.
Choooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom! Choooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom! Choooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom!
If I had any mad skillz at all I’d do a photoshop of da big 0′s head onto James Earl Ray, head of the snake cult in Conan, the Librarian, …and futz with the audio track appropriately… But I don’t, so…
Cynical Wonder
You sound like a person living off the welfare system or an overpaid union member. Your the guy smoking a cigarette outside your neighbors house as it’s on fire…”not my problem ” you may actually enjoy his misery
Strongly suspect you respect Castro and Chavez while loathing Bush or Reagan
Like the tide going out the Obama run is almost over. The bigger job will be cleaning up the beach of the Great Socialist Society cloaked in the slogan Hope and Change.
Barry did remind us of how we all miss a respectful adult in the White House
Actually, no. I just graduated last fall from the University of California (one of the top campuses) with a Masters Degree. And I have a great job (already!). I think you’re just projecting. You’d be surprised as to how many educated and successful people are Democrats and how many plan on eagerly voting for the re-election of President Obama. By contrast, people such as yourself, well …, I don’t even attempt to try and figure out what makes you people work. All we can hope for is you just die off … and you are …
I guess they don’t teach much at that U. California Masters program. You are probably as ignorant as you were before graduating.
Evidence?
Cynical Wonder wrote, “Where else can you find a cacophony of old men and women kvetching with each other (hands waving in air for extra effect)”
Um, in your average lefty protest? Even more so with the hands waving (up/down twinkles, etc.). There’s a lot of gray hair there.
“You’d be surprised as to how many educated and successful people are Democrats and how many plan on eagerly voting for the re-election of President Obama.”
Years ago I would’ve been surprised. No longer. And educated does not guarantee intelligence or even common sense.
“By contrast, people such as yourself, well …, I don’t even attempt to try and figure out what makes you people work.”
As some recent survey showed, we understand you better than you understand us.
“All we can hope for is you just die off … and you are …”
Very sad how you want us to die. Is that the new civility? But don’t get your hopes up too far. There are plenty of young smart people to replace us. And one would think you’d realize how little hope Obama has actually delivered. Unless one hopes for destroying the USA, of course.
HAH! You earn a degree from one of our state communist indoctrination centers/universities and you support Obama. A thinker you are not.
@JWnTX
“Evidence?”
I send you a copy of my degree when you send me a copy of your birth certificate (long form), and a picture of you coming out of the birth canal of whatever cloven-hoofed beast gave birth to you. Deal?
A cacophony of old men and women, and you just got a Masters from the U of C ?
Geez, I guess they don’t teach much about word usage in them thar Masters programs.
Maybe you’re trying to outshine your mentor, the guy who thinks the word is “corpsemen”.
Sitting around hoping to get a job with the ginormous CA state bureaucracy is not actually doing much for your fellow man, CW. Unfortunately, you are precisely one of those people that you pretend to abhor– a middlebrow, suburban loudmouth who pretends to be something he/she’s not– ie., intelligent, worldly or witty. You’re just another loser with a joke degree from some University of CA backwater (hence your refusal to name it) who plans on sucking off the productive labor of those people you consider beneath you. Pathetic. You are a parasite. Actually, worse than that. You are a creature who sponges off the productive labor and creativity of others, and simultaneously think you are “better” then the people you abuse. Even a tick doesn’t insult the dog.
Cynical Wonder is an example of delusional – just as Roger Simon explains. Just as Democrats in Congress are innumerate on debt and spending, and the LSM won’t report – much less excoriated – Obama for having no federal budget for pushing four years! Delusional, projecting and paranoid politics get diagnosed by “drsanity” – just google her up.
Figures.
Telling that with Masters in hand you don’t know you are at the begiining of the trail to wisdom. Also telling that you bandy the award as if you are the first and only to make a scribble on this site. You’ve dismissed yourself, promptly.
So Cynical Wonder, just graduated, how much real-life experience to you have?
Yo
CW, if I were you, I think I’d hide, as opposed to advertise, that I have a recent Masters Degree from a major university. Unless it’s the natural sciences (and I don’t mean “climate science”). That is the quickest way that I know to having your views ignored as irrelevant. Most intelligent people long ago stopped holding those diplomas in reverence. And rightly so. Saying you’ve got a degree from a propaganda mill does little to further your claim of being “educated”.
In any case, glad you’re here.
“All we can hope for is you just die off” and if your like most Marxist’s you’ll help us along is that correct? Communism has murdered 30 times the number of people than Nazi’s, over 200 million of their own citizens. Hitler was ashamed to have Stalin as a partner when they overran Poland and started the murderous occupation, later when the massacre of the Katyn Forest was discovered the Nazi’s found out that just one man in the NkGB had shot and killed over 7000 Polish officers and intelligence; his name was Blokhin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasili_Blokhin How can anyone be a communist or Marxist with such a perverted and homicidal past and present; even Hitler called them mad dogs and lower than a pedophiles.
“Hopefully, you’ll will all learn to mellow out…..”
Hopefully, “you’ll will” learn to use the language properly.
typo, it happens. Besides, can you prove you’re actually qualified to critique anyone. My guess, if you are the average poster here, is that you are sitting in a trailer somewhere in Alabama on SS disability, collecting food stamps, and all the while criticizing President Obama.
Akshully you’re probably more accurately describing an Obama-voting demographic.
Cynical Wonder,
Anyone can claim anything on the Internet using an alias. However, based on your posts, it is obvious that if you had gone to college, you did not learn logic, reason or critical thinking.
Instead of refuting the article with facts to support your position, you are hoping people who disagree with you will die off and acting as if you are smarter than the people in this forum because you went to college, you have committed several logical fallacies such as Ad Hominem, Sweeping Generalization and Red Herring without knowing it.
If you really did go to college, I suggest you file a lawsuit against your school for failing to teach you how to use logic and reason.
Let’s hope, for your sake, that your next boss is not from Alabama, or you just might lose that job you were boasting about.
Son, you’ve wandered into an adult conversation by mistake. I know you think that your “master’s” degree from UC (campus unknown) in an unknown discipline is your ticket to the good life, but it isn’t. I will say to you what my father once said to me “Shut up and sit down. Just listen, maybe you’ll learn something.”
This November, we are going to boot that Obama kid off our front lawn.
And he better not come back.
We don’t want him anymore.
In any capacity.
Don’t over exert yourself dragging around that Medicare sponsored oxygen tank and walker … The future belongs to us not you.
Us. That’d be sloppy 40-somethings collecting unemployment in mom’s basement and still not paying her to support you. Yeah, you’re the future, alright.
It doesn’t.
Your abortion policies are killing off blacks. If you’d just stuck with keeping the welfare shackles around their necks, you’d have a reliable population on your plantation to give you those votes. But destroying their families and shackling the remainder to welfare wasn’t good enough. You had to go with the eugenics. You aborted too many.
Asians are becoming prosperous by hard work and study. They’re turning away from you.
It’s true you have the Jewish vote, but American Jews are barely conceiving at replacement rate. When they assimilate, they assimilate with other progressives who also are not conceiving.
Latinos may be useful in the short term. In the long term, when they start having property for you to confiscate and businesses for you to plunder, they’ll turn against you. So you’ll have to keep them poor to keep them on your side. Unfortunately for you, the ones that come here tend to be industrious.
Then there are the Baby Boomers. They’re the heart and soul of your party. Those hearts are increasingly on pacemakers. When the Great Baby Boomer Die-off hits its half life, you’re party is done for.
You guys should have kept boiling the frog for another 10-16 years. But you saw in Obama the chance to do this right now – use a charming fraud whose race took criticism off the table, and push society to the socialist tipping point.
You took your shot too early. You won’t get another chance.
Cynical Wonder writes, “Don’t over exert yourself dragging around that Medicare sponsored oxygen tank and walker …The future belongs to us not you.”
My wife just stepped into the room to ask why I was laughing and it was with great effort that I told her, through tears caused by my near hysterical laughter, that some punk kid who supports Obama for re-election actually believes that with that accomplished that he will have a future! She asked me “is he a comedian?” What a laugh! Thanks, CW. You brought humor to our day.
By the way, CW. Please name the most prominent hard-science alums of your no-name college. No, O.J. Simpson does not count.
Oh, CW. You don’t have a master’s and a high-paying job. You’re just another Kos/OWS troll showing us all the Left is about any more: posturing and childish insults. The Left is only about NOT being everyone it hates. Your philosophy is nothing but contempt for everyone not in your tribe. Narcissism and nihilism is all you have. That’s why you have not a single substantive point, only sophomoric boasting and insults.
Unfortunately, the nation has far too many of you and is thus imperiled. Some are waking from their lazy stupor and may join the rest of us grown ups in saving the country. If so, you can still do what you love: hurl insults. If not, you can rejoice in the destruction of the country you loath.
I, on the other hand, do have a Master’s degree (and it’s in Nuclear Engineering, not some ridiculous humanities major). I’m 23 years old, and I’m well to the right of my already quite conservative parents.
The future belongs to -all of us-.
Though I do like how you speak for all young people, considering I’m in my twenties, in the UC system, and a proud conservative tea party supporter. That’s right, only grumpy confused old men are conservative!
CW, just answer one question: Do you want America to be transformed into a socialist or communist nation?
to Amos, above -
“Then there are the Baby Boomers. They’re the heart and soul of your party. Those hearts are increasingly on pacemakers. When the Great Baby Boomer Die-off hits its half life, you’re party is done for.”
It was the post-Boomers who voted for Obama; the Baby Boomers voted for McCain.
Are you so sure you want them dead?
And, of course, Obama himself is a Choomer, not a Boomer!
At the risk of giving your silly comparison more credit than it deserves let me offer this – Joseph Kearns and (after his death) Gale Gordon who played the successive Mr. Wilsons on “Dennis the Menace” were two of the most respected character actors of their day. It was Kearns who really made the show work and his death, three years into the run of the show, that ultimately doomed the program. Gale Gordon continued to work after the show went off the air and was active almost to the day he died.
A bratty TV character tormenting a responsible adult seems to be the proper metaphor for Mr. Obama’s relationship to the rest of us, at least those of us who are responsible adults. He may once have been cute as a button but he’s outgrown that and now ad stands revealed as the mean little kid that he is.
I love the shows from the olden days too!
Oh, and one other thing. What make you believe that “you’ve grown up.” Just because people have different political views than you does not make them less mature, it just means they have different political views. To believe otherwise is just elitist, a tag you people like to throw around a lot.
What make us believe we’re grown up (sic) is that we can do verb/subject agreement, something you and your president have issues with. I wonder if it’s a side effect of too much choom, or of living off other people’s money. What do you think?
Cynical Wonder, just take four deep breaths, repeat the left wing mantra, “It’s all Bush’s fault” four times, give out a long “oooom”, hang four crystals around your neck and you’ll feel better in the morning.
Oh, by the way, where is all my free stuff I was supposed to get?
Peace.
Wow, really? In calling someone else old fogies you reference a TV show no one under the retirement age has ever seen except in re-runs, and contrast him to the young and hip Bob Dylan who just turned 71. Did Roger pay you to illustrate how lefties are stuck in the sixties?
I’m the president’s age. He’s not the kid on the lawn. He’s the infantile moron in my safe room, lighting his pot with my money.
Pitchforks are too good for these bastages, Roger.
And the Guillotine is to good for masochistic whores like you.
Vote for Romney, just to watch this tool’s head pop.
Jsallison,
Cynical doesn’t qualify as tool. He’s already been exposed here as rank liar. Even a tool wouldn’t be that easily identified in two or three posts. If “Wonder” did happen to graduate with a Master’s degree, rest assured it’s one of those outstanding liberal art certificates with flowers on the banner.
But I do hope (1) CW either sticks around long enough so we can dogpile him come November; (2) Watches his world of Bezerkeley go belly up 12-18 months from now. If we’re lucky, a mob of illegal Mexicans will use him as fish bait when he stiffs the dope deal due to lack of funding.
That my friend was sexist hate speech but I guess coming from a lefty what else is to be expected.
You call women you disagree with “whores”.
I am sure your female professors would be proud of you.
“And the Guillotine is to good for masochistic whores like you.”
Son, I told you to sit down and shut up. The word you were struggling with is “too”.
Your posts started out as name calling and have descended into cutesy threats.
Which, I have to admit, strongly confirms your assertion that you are new college grad.
Yes Sarah, you’ve punctured the Cynic Sore with logic and now the pus is running “freely” from it.
Conversation will do no good, it just wants to run its course like Julia.
I read a very good description of this whole argument with CW: It’s like playing chess with a pigeon. Regardless of your skill at chess, the pigeon will just knock over the pieces, crap on the board and then strut around as though it has won the game.
In other words, write it off.
“…next four years of the Obama Administration.”
Keep saying that. It just gets funnier and funnier.
By November it will be positively hysterical. So will you.
Have you SEEN Bob Dylan recently?
Just one little question, Cynical; who is going to vote for Obama this time around?
This will do no good at all, but:
When I got out of UCSD I was a liberal too. Then I went to work, and I had the unpleasant realization that Charles Wilson was right when he said “what was good for the country was good for General Motors and vice versa”. From there it is just a single step to the more harrowing thought, if you really care about the people you want General Motors to be profitable.
And just like that, years of indoctrination painfully stripped away.
You are an ignorant SOB, but you are still very young and I was an ignorant SOB when I was your age too. Now that you have read all of the collectivist material, I would say it is time to start you out with Adam Smith and you can progress from there. Only a collectivist can be a good Democrat. Here is one thought for you to ponder; There is no identifiable “social consciousness”. Thoughts cannot be collective. Some of those older people, whom you like to ridicule, have already forgotten more than you have learned.
Barry’s rush to raise funds isn’t really surprising. He has to stay in office. If the taxpayers don’t finance Michelle’s vacations, he’ll have to do it.
Smash the State! Kick them all to the curb.
You ask: Who are these people that are still giving money to this charlatan? What is their motivation?
My answer is that they still believe. For example, one liberal I know recently posted the following as a Facebook status:
“What sort of person does not think there is anything wrong with asking the folks that are tasked with teaching our children to take a 20% cut on a $50,000 annual salary, but think it’s a terrible idea to ask millionaires to pay an additional 3% in taxes?”
This is just stringing words together for emotional effect, but I can guarantee that you have no chance at all of getting the person who posted this to listen to any argument you might think of. If nothing else, the response will be “LA LA LA LA LA I CAN’T HEAR YOU!”
Koenig is correct. Leninists and liberals believe in what they promote, that is, in their own minds they act in the public interest. If one wants to analyze their psyches, I would guess that many have problems with attachments, and are afraid to walk away from an economic theory that demonstrably has never worked. At the same time, they long for unity, which is probably a universal trait. I wrote about longing here: http://clarespark.com/2012/05/05/unity-and-utopia-the-case-of-david-horowitz/.
I lifted this from another board. It seems appropriate here.
Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. — C. S. Lewis
What I never understood about that Cloward-Piven idea is that progressives like it. These kinds of riots cannot exist in a fully capitalistic society. They can only exist in a progressive one. Where social services are tax beyond capacity by a voracious leech class of people.
In other words, Cloward-Piven is the destruction of a progressive economy. It’s like an idiot chopping off their leg because they banged it against the coffee table.
Could it be rage? What will help the enraged recognize their condition? I think nothing short of utter failure. We may get some of it next week in Wisconsin.
Only 157 days to go.
… until Mitt Romney is retired to his house in La Jolla with a car elevator. I live in the same town, so I hope I see them walking on the beach. They do seem like awfully nice people … Ann will be close to Ranch Santa Fe where she will have plenty of time to spend with her beautiful horses.
Do you think evangelicals will vote for Romney? He might be inspired to govern just as the Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith was inspired to compose the Book of Mormon, by gazing into a magic stone that he held in his hat. He’s all yours …
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzixDQkdTTk&feature=related
Well that was incoherent.
And bigoted, to boot.
Tell that to Liberty University where Mittens just gave a speech (see below). Good try …
More incoherence from the anti-Mormon bigot.
I’m what could be consider and Evangelical (I guess, I don’t carry a and ID card or know the secret handshake). Personally I think Mitt’s concept of God, magic underwear, golden tablets and all, is less dangerous than Obama’s god which is himself.
Oh good gods. I guess the memo is out: “Try the ‘Romney has a weird religion’ trick, the other stuff isn’t working.” I swear I’ve seen this in a half dozen places, all in the last 36 hours.
Tell that to Liberty University where Mittens recently gave a speech. He might have checked out the curriculum first:
Page 173. Graduate course Theology 678—Western and New Religions.
Course description:
“The history, doctrines, and present state of the major cults such as Mormonism, Christian Science, Jehovah’s Witnesses and Seventh Day Adventism. The course will also include a study of the Occult Movement. Emphasis is placed on the errors of these groups and on methods and materials for confronting them effectively.”
Apparently, the fundies at Liberty University (can’t believe I’m calling that place a university) think Mormonism is pretty weird and a cult at that. Perhaps you, in your esteemed wisdom can show these conservatives the error of their ways.
Cynical, how do you stand your own cleverness? Have you built a little shrine to yourself? Maybe you could write a grant for it.
Would you happen to know who we should see about getting a better grade of troll assigned to PJM?
Leftists are cult members because they cannot question the underlying assumptions of their beliefs. As for CW, the job that he has acquired for himself is precisely what he has being doing here. Ad hominem attacks are a key Alinskyite tactic. He has managed to rile the board with his comments and is feeling pretty robust about himself.
I am impressed with research that indicates that all institutions – including businesses, educational institutions, governments, religions, etc. – ultimately will fail because they exist in an “open system.” The reasons are compelling but require too many words to explain here. Though not part of this body of research, I add that ideas are not given to failure but to refinement as knowledge increases. CW will never understand anything at all, because for him truth is not a prime goal, but dominance and power. Quite the little Marxist!
I love it. “I live in the same town,” it says while trying to paint Romney as an elitist, rich guy.
FYI the rest of you: To “live in the same town” of La Jolla (pronounced, “LA HOYA”), you have to have been born rich or bringing in about $500K / year to afford it. Talk about disconnect. On the bright side, there is that very large Mormon Tabernacle just down the street, wot?
OK, CW — Now that we covered all the “off topic” items, what do you think of, or rather, how do you defend the job numbers for May? Time to tote that water, huh?
Yes, Cynical Wonder, you are absolutely right. The reelection of Obama will be a cake walk . So easy in fact that there is no need for you to contribute to his campaign in any way. Be sure to tell that to all your friends too. You can go back to sleep now.
A reverse Cloward, nice move!
Liberals like you despise religion.
We got that.
Let me explain this to you in simple language:
America is OUR country.
It’s not YOUR country.
And it’s not Obama’s country.
You’re excluded.
Most of the people in my neighborhood are Jewish and I have no problem at all with them. Some of the nicest people I know really. What I am merely pointing out is that evangelicals will have to do some major nose holding to vote for Romney if they vote for him. They themselves delineate his faith as a “cult.” It has nothing to do with how I feel about his religion at all.
As an Evangelical I have no problem voting for Romney and neither do most of the Evangelicals I know. How ever no amount of nose holding a vomitng would make me vote for Obama.
Well, they voted for a Black Liberation Theologist, so why not a Mormon?
You may not agree with the political leanings of “Black Liberation Theology,” and what parts of scripture they like to emphasize but they do not, unlike Mormons, deny the Virgin Birth or the Holy Trinity, both major doctrinal beliefs among Christians. Moreover, they do not believe, as Mormons do, that we all have the capacity to become as God. Many mainstream Christian denominations (i.e. Liberty University) consider these beliefs blasphemous.
Hey cynical….I was looking for more of your brand of entertainment as you went slowly over the edge while being ignored by regulars here. You could probably spend your time more wisely by working at that big new important job. Taxes are going up soon in California and when California wants Federal dollars for their bankruptcy Romney will say NO!
Most main stream denominations also find “Black Liberation Theology ” blasphemous also.
Yes, if Romney were running to be pastor of the Thomas Road Baptist Church he would lose in a landslide. But he is running to be POTUS, and I guarantee you the TRB congregation will be out there in droves pulling the lever for him.
They don’t like the Mormons’ theology but they do like their moral values.
Evangelicals will crawl through ground glass to vote for Romney. Uphill. In the snow. Barefoot. Obama’s war on the Catholic Church fixed any problem Evangelicals had with Romney.
Also, the Catholic Church has their own problems to deal with and it has nothing to do with Democrats. Yes, because, as it says in the Bible: When thou discovers that thine Men o’ the Cloth are raping children, thou shalt not immediately turn them over to the police, but rather, thou shalt offer them riches to gain their cooperation in turning over their robes and rosaries. Sayeth the Lord. What kind of blasphemous whore would support a church like this? Are you that kind of whore Marie??? Are you???
You belong to a sick bunch. God will have his way with people like you who wrap themselves in the cloak of spirituality but in reality are anything but.
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/31/us/cardinal-authorized-payments-to-abusers.html?_r=3&smid=tw-share
When bigots like you publicly admit that sexual abuse of children is much worse in public schools than in a Catholic church, then you might gain some credibility.
Until then, you’re just a bigot.
It is a sin resulting in automatic excommunication to use any information obtained in the confessional to the detriment of the penitent. If a priest confessed sexually assaulting children to his bishop, the bishop would be EXCOMMUNICATED if he reported this matter to the police. The same would happen if you confessed to cheating on your wife and he went and told your wife- or anyone else- about it. Neither can the priest/bishop get around this prohibition by ordering the penitent to reveal his/her sins in public.
If Stanley Kurtz’ research is to be believed, Roger…it’s not incompetence. It’s an overthrow.
And useful idiots are useful idiots. And braindead liberals are simply tools for souldead leftists.
Souldead O’Brien and George Soulless and the whole Propaganda and Lies Ministry are not incompetent at covering up the truth and distorting the evidence.
We need to let go of the notion that Stanley Kurtz is wrong. We have a Radical-in-Chief. He’s been a radical the whole of his life.
Van Jones, Bill Ayers, Cass Sunstein, Anita Dunn…we must look at intent.
The system is being torn down. This is what that looks like. The fact that leftism fails as an economic model isn’t due to incompetence, it is unsustainable and makes no sense. Except as a totalitarian power play.
You can’t make a budget for an overthrow. OWS was not a “coincidence”, it was a planned event, or series of events. The Workers Party overthrow attempt in Wisconsin is not a coincidence. The assault by the NLRB on Boeing was not a coincidence. The class warfare drumbeat, racial warfare drumbeat, war on women gender warfare drumbeat are not separate things, they are part of one process.
Connect the dots. The only difference between Obama and Cloward-Piven is honesty about what they are up to.
Obama is a soldier in the war on free market democracy and against the American Constitution. Always has been. At least if we believe Stanley Kurtz and not the Daily Duranty.
I think it’s actually a mixture – part overthrow, part incompetence. The two nurture each other.
Obama is in reality a very confused person. Part of him believes the old Marxist rhetoric, part of him wants to be successful but he doesn’t know how. The result is a disaster.
That description at the end: “…He wants to be successful but doesn’t know how.” Sounds perfect.
IMO it’s also reflected in a lot of our youth. They want the success, but the hard work isn’t paying off. If anything, they’ve been tied down and hard.
Crush their dreams, and the whole idea of America comes tumbling down.
I don’t believe he’s confused. He knows exactly what he wants to do (based on his admitted Marxist training in college) but is too incompetent to do it the way Cloward-Piven outlined it in the 1960s. Couple that with the suspicion that he’s a psychopath and narcissist and any benefit of the doubt evaporates.
Who would have guessed that they teach Marxism, anti-Americanism and anti-Semitism at such a fine learning institution as Columbia University? And you only have to pay $50,000 a year.
Actually, Roger, it’s almost entirely incompetence bred of ignorance compounded by character flaws like hubris. I suspect you’ve been around the type and know it well from your own life experience in Hollywood. Whether or not he’s the first Gay president in addition to being the first African-American president, he is without doubt the first Hollywood president.
The image of the end of that Captial One commercial, where Alec Baldwin in the co-pilot’s seat haughtily dismisses the pilot’s concern with “Don’t worry, I’ve played a pilot”, comes to mind as being closer to reality in the White House than I would like.
And oh, BOY have I ever experienced a desire to reach through the screen and slap that arrogant cipher.
I understand your point, Roger.
But let’s peel the onion a bit.
The lion and the hyena cannot exist under the same roof. Communism (whether labeled small or large “c”) and free market constitutional democracy supported by Judeo-Christian system of laws, with checks and balances and rules and regulations for legislating…cannot co-exist. The clash is inevitable.
In which part of Obama’s life did he ever take up the cause of free market constitutional democracy supported by Judeo-Christian system of laws, with checks and balances and rules and regulations for legislating?
Can we name ONE period in his life where he supported such a thing?
Now, can we name ALL the instances where he stood firmly and rabidly on the other side?
We should undertake this task, Roger.
Because, not once…from his days at Occidental to this very day has he EVER exhibited anything but an extreme dislike …even hatred…of our system. He has ALWAYS surrounded himself with people of that same vitriolic hatred and intent to overthrow.
So, in a point shaving scandal in basketball, Roger…is the missed shot incompetence? The turnover and lost dribble…just clumsy?
How is Obama acting in a given situation must NOT be observed with a blind eye toward his OPENLY STATED ANIMUS toward the system, the Constitution, capitalism.
No, Roger…we must not merely examine the “clumsy” and ham-fisted blunders. We must examine every word of the Midwest Academy, Socialist Scholars conventioneers, Bill Ayers, George Soros, the radical professors and Heather Booth.
The lion and the hyena cannot live under the same roof, Roger. Right now, the hyena is laughing at us for being so easily fooled.
Cfbleachers is 100% correct.
Roger — “want be successful” — but at what? And does he, really? He doesn’t know we are — our whole system is — standing at the edge of an abyss — yet he keeps spending and instituting more and more regulations?
I just read about the EPA spy planes, flying over midwestern farms …. It gets more evil every day. You’re a nice man. It’s hard for you to see – evil.
But, we all need to look the truth square in the face. And name it for what it really is. CFBleachers pinpoints it well …
He says … “We should undertake this task.” —
“How is Obama acting in a given situation must NOT be observed with a BLIND EYE toward his OPENLY STATED ANIMUS toward the system, the Constitution, capitalism.”
“In which part of Obama’s life did he ever take up the cause of free market constitutional democracy…?”
“Can we name ALL the instances where he stood firmly and rabidly on the other side?
“We should undertake this task, Roger.
“Because, not once…from his days at Occidental to this very day has he EVER exhibited anything but an extreme dislike …even hatred…of our system. He has ALWAYS surrounded himself with people of that same vitriolic hatred and intent to overthrow.”
Actually, Roger, I think Bill Whittle hit upon the real answer in a recent Afterburner:
http://www.pjtv.com/?cmd=mpg&mpid=56&load=6888
Obama and his elite university colleagues have – with no real world experience at all – constructed an elaborate social engineering model about how our society and country should work. Constructing these kinds of theories is very much like someone erecting an elaborate model train set in their basement. The model train set is pretty, impressive, and works flawlessly.
And now Obama and his elite university colleagues have been turned loose to control things in the real world. Smug in the knowledge that their train set works flawlessly, they set about to remake the world in it’s image.
There’s just one (unforeseen) problem: In the train set, railroad ties never rot. Conductors never get disgruntled. People don’t poop.
Most of Obama’s elite university buddies have discovered that their train set doesn’t match the real world and have abandoned The One and returned to their universities. Obama on the other hand is stuck. He enjoys operating the controls and making the trains go where he wants them to, but he just doesn’t understand peoples’ need to leave these steaming piles of crap around that stink up the place. And the vast bureaucracy of leftists in Washington, having heard his complaint, are just steps away from promulgating a new rule prohibiting people from pooping.
Roger L. Simon writes: Obama is in reality a very confused person.
This the crux of the matter: Ultimately the POTUS is the only man in the room who can stop a crazy idea by just saying “No!”. We keep worrying about what are the percentages of incompetence and malevolence in the witches brew at the root of the present train wreck: The critical incompetence for the POTUS is lack of wisdom, which will allow a multitude of interests, some of them detrimental to the welfare of the nation, to run wild and most probably lead to the ruin of everything.
There is no need for the POTUS to be a genius. It is far more important to elect a man of wisdom, who can manage the talents at his disposal and do his best to protect the nation against all dangers, including human folly on the part of the political class and their cronies. It is not necessary for an ill-intentioned man at the top for things to go wrong, a confused fellow is enough, because so much damage can be done by everyone else around when nobody is watching the jewels, in our case individual freedom and constrained governance.
Attacking the man for lack of experience and wisdom is legitimate. Attacking him for somber designs is the unwise path, which so far Romney has been able to avoid.
GW Bush the Elder said during his re-election campaign that it was about character. He was laughed down then. Schadenfreude, anyone? I don’t care if you’re the self-anointed smartest guy in the room if you’re also an arrogant, self-involved marxist prick.
It’s the indoctrination. Look, he honestly BELIEVED that if he brought America down, the rest of the world would do well. That if he made the rich poorer, the poor would do better. It’s stupid Marxist indoctrination. Yes, he’s destroying capitalism on purpose, but only because he thinks paradise would then emerge. I think he’s starting to figure out it won’t, and he doesn’t know what to do.
I’m sorry, I don’t think he’s that smart. He can’t be. Tons of us his age were indoctrinated as he was, but we SAW behind it.
He’s neither smart nor intellectually curious enough to find anything out. He’s a bitter, brainwashed little twerp, abandoned by his family and taking it out on the world. Thank God he’s incompetent. But his incompetence is not reflected in not knowing to turn the economy around. That’s the last thing he wants. It’s reflected in not knowing how to destroy it even faster, though he is making enormous headway there. He’s not hard to figure out.
Hard to figure out are the legions of willfully oblivious American citizens who refuse to see him for who he really is. Sadly, it is they who will take us down.
Well said, Rodger.
But why are there so many stupid people that keep voting for the likes of Pelosi, Reid and Frank?
Hailing from Massachusetts, I can attest on the Holy Bible that Liberal stupidity here is endemic, rampant, cult-like.
I work in high-tech, so until I retire in ten years, Taxachusetts must remain my home.
Well said, cf.

I share your sentiments CFB. My notion that Obama is the proverbial Manchurian Candidate who is now tired of that role seems to explain the lousy campaign he is putting on this year (is a gift that keeps on giving). He hates his job as POTUS, IMO, & is anxious to move on to other things. Thank goodness.
Look at it this way, Roger: Not even Obama and his grasping, statist henchmen could discourage enough unemployed workers enough to throw up their hands and stop looking for work last month. That points to some resiliency among Americans, a resiliency that just needs to have the boot of that gaggle of collectivists to get off our necks.
Isn’t the reported unemployment number just those who are getting unemployment benefits?
For 90 weeks (70 now in IL, they have declared the economy fixed just in time for the election) you can draw benefits.) While you do that you have to confirm you are actively seeking work. After that you are out of the system. They have no way to know if you are looking for work. I think most of these people who have “given up on finding a job” just timed out and are still looking.
Keep in mind if you worked 3 part time jobs and lost all of them you would not show as unemployed. Same if just got out of college or high school and can’t find a job.
I would not be a bit surprised to find actual unemployment over %15.
The Dem Party’s version of how to run a country seems to be based on a blither version of Marxism. In the Dem world, they see groups that are eternally oppressed in an analogue of Orwell’s world eternally at war. These groups are any people of color, women and gay folks and even includes the entire Third World. This view puts the Dems in a position in which they view themselves as defenders of justice and morality and explains why they seem to co-opt morality beyond the normal views of someone who merely thinks they’re right.
This view explains why Dems view wealthy people as suspect in terms of their morals. It’s really not wealthy people individually who are at fault, but the system they swim in that lacks morality. This explains the constant refrains one has come to expect from the Dems about gay marriage, white hispanics profiling and murdering a black kid, wars on women and how almost no failure from within these protected groups is actually their fault.
This is an impossible argument to win since it’s not really an argument but a world view that has been built up around political correctness over the years with ready-made and self-sealing theories for any situation – everyone in the world is equal and so illegal immigration is not dangerous but in fact just. By default, the GOP doesn’t like women, gays or blacks, simply by disagreeing. This is why, although one can’t show a single mainstream political construct formed around race on the political Right, the GOP is accused of racism. The GOP doesn’t have to show such a thing – disagreeing is enough. That’s why dog-whistles and code have such currency on the Left.
From the Dem’s point of view, you’re not fighting their policies, but reality itself. The Dems’s will point to suffrage, slavery, Jim Crow and gay bullying and posit the effects last generations and use cheap psychology like white privilege involving straight, white males to back it up. Dr. Helen’s piece about the head of the Science Fiction Writers of America John Scalzi writing how white, straight males operate on the lowest and therefore least just difficulty setting speaks to this. Scalzi is the tip of an enormous iceberg that buys into this voodoo and Obama himself the product of a black Left which eagerly agrees.
How do you fight such a thing? These people have no use for facts, they have faith. Political correctness is very popular and PC has evolved into a form of Marxism.
I’d say it’s something more than that.
It’s a form of Social Vengeance.
It’s about voting to “punish” and hurt the people you disagree with.
Automatically taking whatever position that you think will cause irreparable harm to the other side.
This is why so many Progressives are OK with Bloomberg-style Nannyism and, worse yet, The Shari’ah Law. Because they’re punishments applied to those who believe in freedom.
And they think they’ve all been promised a place of privilege in the New Order that they’re trying so hard to usher in.
The lure of perpetual Free Lunch is just so tempting that the Takers almost outnumber the Producers.
Up to now the Takers have been too lazy to drag their sorry butts to the polls in numbers, but we can’t count on that behavior forever. At the point where the Takers out-vote the Producers, it’s all over.
Ayn Rand would have so wished to have been proven wrong.
Laugh line of the day: I don’t need to see Obama’s hidden college grades. I know he’s a failure.
Roger: You’re so beautiful when you’re angry.
Roger, tell us how you really feel!
Employment and the economy have gone underground. When OZero leaves office, we’ll have an incredible growth spurt just from those who are coming out of hiding!
Taxpayer, you are dead on correct. Its called ‘living under radar’, it works.
I’ve read that in the Soviet Union the Black Market was a bigger economy than the official Soviet economy. Perhaps that will happen here if we get another four years of The One.
I concur. Pay in cash and no receipts.
In the near future, there will be a means to eliminate cash transactions altogether and extinguish the underground economy. It will be promoted as a neccessity to combat money laundering and stopping tax cheats by having everyone maintaining an electronic account. It’s already technologically feasible and would entail all selling or purchasing of goods which will be recorded to your personnel account without cash exchanging hands. Good way to control the public as well.
But this was already foretold.
I hate to see the underground economy get so strong, but freedom will out. The government can eliminate cash, but what about tradable commodities: gold, silver, bullets (traded sometimes in different ways), food? Barter will be another means of exchange. That is unless a rational solution to the runaway welfare state is offered and accepted.
True, but it depends your sources of tradeable commidities. I know small businessmen in Ohio now who once they hit a certain sales threshhold barter (eg. one accepted a butchered hog as payment; another a week on a condo) instead of issuing invoices. They realized at some point they are simply working for the tax man and decide to go Galt.
I read the writing on the wall and got the hell out. I found the most Western country I could that fit my particular tastes, Western culture, democracy, and heavily wired. I have a flat tax in Estonia (although I probably pay a higher rate than I would in the States, I’m cool with it). and I can start a business in 2 hours. No red tape.
I still vote in American elections, hoping that I can push through positive results back home, but I can’t see a time where I’d leave here to go back. And I was born and raised in Kansas, a patriot. A PhD. And I’M leaving?
estonia? are there hand-knit shawls? that you can see? hand-knit mittens?
can you post photos?
estonia- there are only a few books on them, and they are amazing knits. most knitters don’t think about going- it’s insanely expensive to travel..
photos?
I agree with #5 cfbleachers, but this column is wonderful !
Dangerous clowns, but clowns indeed.
PS
Did I mention that I can’t stand the chin up, the intolerable professorial attitude (in a Maldives-Malvinas challenged ignoramus), the lies, the self-aggrandizing declarations ?
I think (maybe I should say “hope”) that the nation will ultimately be better off for having elected Obama.
I think that if McCain had won there’s not much of substance he would have done differently. Perhaps the deficits would have been $750 billion instead of $1 trillion. Perhaps the health care bill would have been a little different. Different constituencies would have gotten paid off. But the important stuff, the stuff that’s really killing us, would have remained the same. The status quo of government expansion and the erosion of our liberty would have continued apace, but with a “Republican” at the wheel it would have been less drastic and less obvious. And like the proverbial frog in the pot we would have continued to sit there while the water boiled around us.
But the election of Obama, coinciding as it did with the leadership of Reid and Pelosi, turned the heat all the way up. Liberalism’s mask finally, completely slipped off. The whole rotten enterprise now stands exposed in way that it never could have under a President McCain, and even those Americans that are normally less engaged in the political process can see it. As a result we’ve been given an opportunity to finally, FINALLY, start trying to roll some of this back. It’ll probably take a generation or two, and it’s going to hurt, but you have to start somewhere.
I agree with your assessment. That is why I was hoping for someone other than a Northeast Liberal to go against Obama. I hope I am wrong about him and that he will convince the people that we have to reverse the welfare state.
I agree. The man is performing a public service after all. If we learn the lesson, we don’t need to get bitter about it, we just need to roll up our sleeves and elect someone capable of seeing the personality of America before his own. The same applies to elections of lesser visibility.
We also need to address some of the weaknesses of our system that President Obama has exploited that no previous President has ever attempted, seizing industries, setting compensation of employees of private companies, making personal decisions on constitutionality of existing laws and then arbitrarily deciding which laws will be defended in court, vastly expanding the Presidential staff with the czars who have a lot of Executive Branch management authority but were not subject to Senate confirmation, grabbing funds to support that staff with no budgetary approval, and operating the country for three years on one budget with continuing resolutions, to avoid any cutbacks in said budget. Who should have acted to counter these actions? Why didn’t they? If we don’t fix these problems, a future president will build on these weaknesses to become a full dictator.
With McCain in office the media would’ve been all over him like stink on yaksqueeze (thanks Neil Boortz). If you want your politicians to be thoroughly vetted, vote GOP. Because the self-appointed ‘fourth estate’ has been phoning it in for decades.
The article and comments are exceptionally good and unfortunately most are very true. The Democrat Party has been usurped by the illiberal and communist and has to be seen in that light, this is not the Party of Truman, Kennedy and Zell Miller, this is a full bore takeover of a major political party by communists along with complicity of the MSM. The Democrats have hidden the background of Obama from the People and must be severely chastised by making them ineffectual, Democrats cannot be trusted with the reins of power until they purge themselves of the communist, the illiberal unions and their divisive ways which includes trying to start race wars and attacks on the Constitution. The Democrats have become the enemies of the Republic, the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
That’s the frustrating part, the frightening part—Obama still gets donations. He still draws crowds of young people who are saddled by his debt and a future with no jobs.
Yet they cheer him on.
They should be as frightened as we are, but can’t admit Obama is a dangerous and destructive man who is damaging our country.
I pray that common sense will prevail in the voting booth.
With all due respect, Mr. Simon, I think you answered your own question when you identified modern liberalism as a pose.
Let me put it this way. Some time back, I saw a speech by a fairly prominent left-of-center financial journalist. I was surprised when he seemed to suggest that his support for Mr. Obama in the 2008 election may have been misplaced and a bit amused when he suggested that he and many in the audience had done so because they “thought he was one of us”. Remarkably, many in the audience nodded in agreement and indicated their agreement.
Now, you’d think from this much of what you suggested in your questions. Clearly, logic, self-interest, and reason should have suggested to these ladies and gentlemen that they’d be foolish to support Mr. Obama a second time. But, here’s the interesting thing. When I talked to some of these people about about their voting plans for 2012, most indicated that they probably wouldn’t. They wouldn’t want to associate with the kind of people who support the religious right or, God forbid, someone like Palin.
In short, their continued support was a culture pose. It had nothing to do with any assessment of policy or even their own self-interest (and many of these folks were Wall Streeters, some of the most efficient calculators of self-interest you’ll find). Now this is the reaction from an audience in one of the most bottom-line-oriented industries you’ll find. Think about how much more you’ll find elsewhere.
Thomas Sowell defined liberalism as “self-congratulation as the basis for public policy” or nearly that. See his CONFLICT OF VISIONS. Brilliant.
F.A. Hayek’s “The Road to Serfdom” has a chapter, titled “Why the Worst get to the Top”. The chapter explains how there are two groups necessary for collectivist (Leftist) to achieve power. 1st is the elites, the power seekers, who have low moral character, because for one thing, they are ALL liars. The 2nd group, he called “docile and gullible” were the people(your friends, relatives, and neighbors) who believed the lies of the elites.
The 1st group numbers in the thousands, the 2nd in the millions. Liberalism is a giant con game, but instead of your money it’s your freedom at stake.

Obama and the Left are no longer satisfied with a low tech “Road to Serfdom”. They want High Speed Rail to Serfdom!
Well said, Roger. California is like an alcoholic in denial- wont be saved until hits bottom, and its going to be a very hard fall. The smart money is leaving in droves.
Obama is an empty suit- a puppet, a useful idiot. Look at who is pulling the strings- and follow the money.
The one thing I fear:
In the next 8 years, a huge demographic bulge of Baby Boomers are going to enter the retirement years, and want their Social Security and Medicare.
I don’t think they really understand that the money they paid for decades is gone.
When they do, whatever party is in charge is going to be pilloried by them, the press, and their opponents.
I fear a one term Republican replaced with Obama part 2 in 2016, and a leftist Congress in 2014.
Still, I wouldn’t vote to reelect the current White House occupant. I’ll take a RINO with a conservative Congress over this current disaster, no matter how brief.
Heck, I wouldn’t vote for him if he was running for dog catcher. I wouldn’t want to tempt his appetite.
The biggest danger with Cloward-Piven is that it allows self-delusion. When allowed to influence economic and political decisions or worse still to be in charge, the stupid and incompetent far-left goons confuse their inability to do anything other than create scarcity out of plenty with their intent to crash the existing system.
Reagan was right: put them in charge of the desert, and in a couple of years, you’ll have a shortage of sand.
The form of government they want to replace our existing system with is a recipe for genocide, despair, disease, starvation and death. Their improvement over previous forms of tyranny is that they are able to accomplish it within a single generation. Not exactly something to brag about.
For now, we need to beat this affront to liberty back. Longer-term, expanding upwards and outwards ought to permit people to once again vote with their feet if some idiot decides he ought to rule other peoples’ lives.
One of the most striking recent statistics was the number of veterans who intend to vote the incumbent out. They put their lives on the line to protect all of us once; they’re about to do it again. Thanks from a grateful citizen.
That explains why the active military votes from overseas will not get counted this year. The ones from the prisons will, you can bet on that.
You know, I never seem to hear from liberals what they would say once they are proven wrong. Obama’s far-left policies clearly have not worked, yet what does he and his administration say to us? “It could have been worse.” Doesn’t really look good on a bumpersticker, does it?
We have wasted literally trillions of dollars and what do we have to show for it? A country that is poised to enter yet another recession, high unemployment, a huge national debt and deficit, and a military that is on the verge of looking weaker than the British military did prior to World War II. And we all saw how well that turned out for the British at the start of World War II. Can anybody say, “Dunkirk?”
Yet with all this failure, do we get any apologies? Do we get any admission from the president that all this spending just didn’t work so now we’re going to try something else? Do we get the Democrats in Congress to admit that what they did during the first two years of Obama’s administration was wrong and that it’s now time to go in another direction?
Nope. To hear Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid these days, you’d think nothing was wrong, everything was going according to plan, and that all we need is MORE spending, not less. And the creepy part about all of this is that it sounds just like what that new Socialist from France wants, more spending and less “austerity.” Who knew that today all Democrats are French?
But, taking a page from the Ronald Reagan playbook, I have to be optimistic about our future. We have to be, because if we’re not, we really are doomed. And I’m obviously not optimistic because Obama is president, but because we have a chance at least to throw him out of office in November. If we can do that, then maybe we can look back on the past four years as just a bad liberal experiment that has gone horribly bad and let it serve future generations as a warning as to what happens when unbridled socialism is not stopped.

A question for Fail Burton and all you others.
Isn’t Political Correctness (or Politically Correct) an odd phrase in the many situations it is said or invoked?
Rather than PC evolving into a form of Marxism, PC evolved from Stalinism.
It is meant to distinguish what is true, as you and I know it, and what will advance Leftist political interests. So before 1941 Hitler and Stalin were allies, but after 1941 they were enemies. It then became politically (in)correct in the Soviet Union to say they were ever allies, and this was enforced by ever present political officers charged with enforcing the communist party line.
I don’t recall where I first learned this or heard the phrase, but it was certainly before the current use of PC gained currency IIRC in the early ’90s. Was it a history text, a novel like Darkness at Noon or even a film like Ninotchka? Maybe one of the better educated commenters here can help.
But the use of the phrase PC tells us who and what we are really dealing with.
The comment about how can these people still be voting for Obama makes me think about something I read in another post somewhere about the old Soviet Union and the creation of the “Homo Sovieticus” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homo_Sovieticus). I think that we have in this country the existence of a new type of person – “Homo Democraticus” (also known as “Homo Leftists” or “Homo Progressicus”). Some traits:
1) A desire to avoid questioning their leaders
2) A desire to avoid entering into a rational dialogue with someone who has an opposing view
3) A desire to verbally (and sometimes physically) attack those who have differing opinions (often calling them closed-minded bigots)
4) A desire to eliminate any differing opinions
5) A desire to support anyone who is against whom they are against (which explains why homosexual and women-rights activists support Islamic groups who wish to implement Sharia laws in the US. Only a homo democraticus would be this stupid).
6) An inability to rationally consider the long term consequences of any action they take or support (refer to “actions of babies” for further information).
I am more convinced w/ every passing day that the secret of Obama’s success is in the status competition between white people. His voters (and I know a lot of them) are determined not to be part of the great white middle class. Some see themselves as intellectuals. Some see themselves as Wall Streeters. Some see themselves as Buddhists. It doesn’t matter. What is important is that they define themselves as better than the middle class white people in fly-over country, and/or blue collar ethnic white people in the cities/suburbs where they live.
This is the great divide in America. I’m not sure why it is so important for the Obama voters to define themselves as different from the middle class, but it is everything to them. The policies, the lies, the sheer incompetence of the man, even the terrible economy, are not as important as their self-definition.
An important insight. It also explains why we have so many goofy ideas emanating from academe: if you are smarter than everybody else, then you must be able to conjure up ideas and political positions that are different from what the masses cling to — which is, by the way, usually more realistic.
I am flyover America. I can only assume that my fellow countrymen on the coasts are susceptible to salt poisoning causing them to entertain absolutely assinine habits of ‘thought’.
It’s hipsterism, writ large.
Thank you, Roger Simon. “Get out your pitchforks, citizens. It’s time to throw these clowns out.” I know it will be a hard-fought battle, but I expect a transformational election. I also agree with ron #14 that “the Democrat Party has been usurped by the illiberal and communist”, authoritarians all. Obama is simply the front for authoritarians; he has no voice himself, nor did he when he was used by his “parents”, grandparents, pedophile-communist-poet Frank Marshall Davis, islamists, and many nefarious others. He is a tool for authoritarians of all stripes who want the resources of this country for their own purposes.
Remember, “they” have taken over most of the environmental organizations and “climate” departments (CAGW-controlling CO2, the stuff of life; lying about temperature, climate sensitivity, and doctoring raw data; providing massive “green” loans to corporate cronies), most “standard” media outlets (no longer “mass” because they have lost so many viewers/readers), much of higher education (through government spending on loans and grants — one example, Kalifornia universities, public and private, were among the largest donors to Obama), and making UN bureaucrats masters of all U.S. policy. They thought they had every base covered.
However, they forgot that their “communist” successes, always result in economic degradation. They forgot that when the economy tanks — an important measure of their success — sensible Americans never re-elect the Stupids. The great majority of Americans must be informed that these are/were authoritarians attempting to destroy us, not simply the stupidest bunch of incompetents ever to be elected. Which they are as well.
Why not address a point from the story you read? If you can not even find something in the post to troll against, you need to go back to troll school. I am sure that Obama has some.classes you can take on how to be a better troll on conservative websites.
Who are you talking to?
That was meant to be a reply to Cynical Wonder.
Thanks. Please note the “Reply” link right next to the “Link to this Comment” link that appears below each & every post. That way your comment appears right below the post you’re responding to. Just saying…….
Welcome to the party Mr. Simon!
Are you are beginning to grasp the principles and ideas, to understand now, why the Constitutional prerogative of the legal, lawful, moral sovereignty, the exercise of 2nd Amendment redress, is cherished and valued as an honorable and sovereign duty to securing Liberty and Freedom of natural law for millions of AMERICANS?
“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”

It is not ours to restore the power of the Constitution. It is ours to show them the wrath of America without the protections the Constitution offers them.
Let them restore it to find refuge from us.

Who are these charlatans who continue to donate to the Obama machine? Don’t tell me, PJ, you don’t know. Put out their names and mug shots on You Tube, with their office and home addresses, etc etc. Bad form? Well, if Obama can do it to Romney’s donors, the favour is easily returned. It’s called “Fairness”.
I hate to pester you, but, Belladonna? Where is she? I miss her. I miss her community of commenters. I miss the politics, and the soap operas and the funny stuff.
Lots of your articles now are by people saying ” you should do this!” which is great- but- she had ” so, you should do this is hard, and here’s how to think about it, and maybe there are ways to do this….” There’s some humanity and compassion there.
She has her own website that she has yet to open. I wonder too just what is going on with her.

11-6-12 Gotterobammerung!
The sad thing is we are all paying for it — not to mention our children and our children’s children.
Why do you think that? Why won’t they emigrate, if America is not longer the greenest pasture.
Every other country has seem emigration to America, so why can’t the reverse happen if America is no longer attractive for young people?
Good point. Why stay and spend most of your life slaving away to pay off dead peoples debt. Countries who lose their young and talented due to “brain drain” have a hard time enticing them to stick around (let alone come back).
And where exactly would you go?
There are several enticing possibilities. Several Eastern European countries come to mind, along with Singapore and Hong Kong. There are others. Just start at the top of the Freedom Index and work down.
My favorite close-to-home possibility is Costa Rica.
Amen. Mazeltov. Whatever. Let’s do it.
Just the feel of the pulse of the nation but if the Texas convict in West Virginia and unnamed in Kentucky are any indication. I can see now why the Justice Department is no longer respected and they are chasing illegal and non-citizen voters in Florida. Sad for all of us to watch our extended families and friends struggle to put food on the table while this plays out.
I don’t always agree Mr. Simon, but I have to say that I love the passion of this article.
I hope he has lots of friends who respect his opinion.
If we are fortunate enough to survive the charlatan, which is by no means certain, the last 5 years are going to be a case study that sane Americans will study forever. It should become a key part of the American mythology.
Aside from the odious ideology crammed down our throats by these table-pounding capos, why would anybody seek to fundatmentally transform a country that has been, by far, the most successful in the lifetime of the planet. We are getting a tiny glimpse of the alternative they have in mind for their servants. How does it feel?
If obama somehow steals one more election, his next mission will surely be to transform sex, sunsets, babies and love itself.
To all the so-called Liberals out there who consider themselves “progressive,” but who are in truth feudalists, peasants looking for a lord and master who fear freedom like sunshine to a vampire, it’s fair to ask about Obama-Banana: Would you hire a lying, sneering jerk like this to run a business that you own, on which you and your family’s livelihood depended? Would trust such a person, who refuses to tell you anything about his background except that he smoked dope, to manage your retirement fund? If you were sick or in legal trouble, would you consult his opinion? Of course not. But you’re willing to put him in charge of a nation of 320,000,000 people with the world’s largest economy and the world’s most powerful armed forces. Putting labels and slogans aside, I call anyone who makes that decision irrational, irresponsible, and stupid.
“Meanwhile, according to White House Dossier, our president is off to hold six fundraisers in one day.”
Just how much time is a President allowed to spend on fund-raising? The reason I ask is that most jobs have strict prohibitions on what you are allowed to do during the time you are paid to work. You can’t just go off to the beach if you feel like it. So what are the terms and conditions of the Presidency? Can a President really go off and fund-raise any time he likes?
I’m wondering if someone can dock Obama’s pay f0r being “out of the office” a little too often. It wouldn’t help the deficit very much in dollar terms but it would be a powerful affirmation that the President is actually subject to rules and expectations of his employers, just like the rest of us. In the President’s case, of course, WE are his employers.
I’m wondering if someone can dock Obama’s pay f0r being “out of the office” a little too often.
Good grief man, no! Obama does far less damage to the country when he’s out fundraising or playing golf than when he’s playing president.
“Who are these people that are still giving money to this charlatan? What is their motivation? Cultural suicide? Or are they simply Solyndra-style gangsters looking for a billion dollar handout? Or are they waiting to hear the president’s new plan to “save health care” in his second term? ”
There may be another reason, fear of reprisal. For many businesses it may be a kind of a protection racket. Donate to Obama and he will give you waivers from business killing regs like Obamacare. Donate to repubs and you get crucified, like Gibson Guitars, or get boycotted by some leftist terror group. Fortunately, as more businesses begin to realize that Obama might actually lose, they are beginning to realize that the Danegeld may no longer be necessary, since in a few more months Obama and his lefitst boycotters will no longer be able to harm them.
Stories out of the USSR had the elites sitting around formulating the next Five Year Plan after the previous ones failed repeatedly.
They could not change their approach because they had been steeped in Marxist “theory” that should work, but for some hidden reason, didn’t.
“Comrade, according to theory, we should all be eating well.”
I get the feeling Obama and his cohorts sit around planning according to the theory they’ve always believed would work.
Obama himself verbalized it at the start of his Four Year Plan (paraphrased): “If this economy isn’t fixed in three years, I’m a one-term President.”
The problem is Obama’s theory, like the Soviets’, sucks.
And our greatest hope is for him to be that one-term President.
Mr Simon,
Please forgive me for asking this question but do you acknowledge the existence of pure, focused, unapologetic evil? And of its acolytes?
Because frankly, there are Democrats out there with values who have not been swept up in the great wave of evil (Kristen Powers and Lanny Davis come to mind), but all the Liberals and most of the Democrats are the hand-maidens of evil. And Obama is its champion.
And no one is going to talk any sense to any of these people.
Pray for America or find a place to hide, but logic and insight are not up to the challenge.
Really??? You’ve been watching Faux News too much. Davis was the brains behind Clinton’s defense team. And Powers will never utter a criticism of Dear Leader. She only plays the part of fair and balanced to hold her seat at FN.
The Dem party is devoid of rational, America loving people. We should all understand that their party is completely infested with totalitarians.

“And leftism is just a massive form of social sadism that leads to the totalitarian state.”
SOCIAL SADISM – I don’t think I have heard it put any better than that. You better copyright it Mr. Simon, because I plan on using that phrase. A lot.
When two rams square off with their massive horns there is a moment where one could decide to pass. But they don’t, usually. When a liberal gets on his hind legs he stands on lies (socialism) and must face the truth (free market capitalism). BOOM! someone gets to make all the new babies.
If anyone has squared-off with a liberal (as I have) you’ll notice they’ll make a quick assessment of available exits. They talk tough but when confronted, buckle or run. Truth beats lies every time when tried. What we have as ‘conservatives’ are gentlemen who’ve never been in a fight. They tend to avoid a confrontation. Boehner cries and a puppy dies, somewhere.
Republicans are mostly nice guys who’ll finish last- trouble is, so shall we. However, on the bright side, many Americans (tea party esp) have been donning helmets and will go heado-i-heado with liberals in 2012. BOOM! liberalism will NOT make any more babies if real Americans stand up to them. I think it will not only happen, but the embarrassment will last a couple of generations.
And then the process starts all over again. Got females in heat? It’s life, prepare for it. Death is easy- lie down and get run over. Some fights are worth it. Cowboy up and defend America. You’ll be amazed at how easy it truly is.
Finally!! Someone on our side sees this as what it is! Something needs to get broken…egos or heads….take your pick!
The first egg that needs to be cracked is affirmative action. It is to blame, largely, for the mess we now find ourselves wallowing in.
O must be ousted, now or later, and no matter the official result in November. Holder must be prosecuted and sent to a prison for traitors.
Here’s my next proposal for a constitutional amendment. Failing a national emergency there will be no session of congress until the new representatives and senators are certified by their state AG’s and seated in office. No more lame duck, aka %*#( you congresses. In the 1790′s it made sense but today it doesn’t. Following an election the country’s business doesn’t get done until the new guys are in office. Including the president and *all* the executive branch jackwagons.
I could not agree more. Will it happen? I’d love to see it to make it clear to these a$$h0le$ that you work for US!!!
I still want to see his grades. I want to point fingers and smirk.
I wonder if there really are any grades.
Yesterday I saw in the TV glare
A little man who wasn’t there
He wasn’t there again at the White House today
How I wish he would go away.
“[Modern Liberalism] It is the most unexamined of unexamined wisdom. It’s not even an ideology.
It’s a pose.
And leftism is just a massive form of social sadism that leads to the totalitarian state.”
“I love this country. I never dreamed I would see it go down the drain in such an extraordinarily rapid fashion.”

Yes, Roger. If Romney doesn’t get elected …. Four more years of this — and an unbridled, unstoppable this, including appointment of 2 new Supreme Court Judges … and it’s really all over. All over. We’ll never be able to recover. This is IT.
It’s an unbelievable horror of a nightmare.
“Liberals like you despise religion.
We got that.
Let me explain this to you in simple language:
America is OUR country.
It’s not YOUR country.
And it’s not Obama’s country.
You’re excluded.”
I KNEW conservatives were Nazis…thanks for backing that up.
Cynical Wonder has a job AND time to write all these responses? Seriously? Master’s programs don’t impress, hard work does. Any fool can choose to stay in school longer. The proof is where you land in 20 yrs. Go out and prove yourself before you trash your elders. And no, I’m not old. And yes, I am better educated than you. But better than that, I’ve learned by respecting and listening to my elders. Too bad your mama didn’t teach you some respect.
Not pitchforks. They aren’t sufficient for the job to be done. There are, however, appropriate weapons to use. But make sure you start with the RIGHT targets. I would merely note that it is the Praetorian Guard who have enabled, nay, FORCED, all this upon our country.
The only good pig…
Actually, JFK was the first Hollywood president. His father was a major Hollywood investor, and all the fake PR such as Jack’s “fifty-mile hikes” and “1,000 word reading speed” plus “Jackie speaks seven languages” and so much more was all Hollywood PR junk. You have to go back and peruse some of the old popular magazines of the era such as Look and Life to get the full flavor of the nonsensical build-up that JFK received from the popular press. It was ridiculous, and LOADS of democrats absolutely loved it and idolized the Kennedys just like they do Obama, now. So much of it has been forgotten today, but the Obama era has just repeated the JFK era, really.
JFK was a fiscal conservative though. He had a lot more common sense than Obama could ever pretend to have. Obama is a dim-bulb ideologue who was the perfect front-man for the evil socialist, small c’s who are his puppet masters.
Roger, I absolutely agree. I can still remember American when it was a hopeful place..I would like to see that again.
Huzzah Roger! You are actually using the dirty word that dare not say its name – SOCIALIST. Outrage has finally caught up with you.
While the RNC and the Romney Team are dithering over not saying anything “negative” and sticking to educating the electorate on the virtues of conservatism, and the Democrats are plumbing the depths of latrines for missiles, the vast ranks of Middle America are waiting for a rallying call:: “Our Freedoms are in Peril! The crisis is real!
What is “negative” about pointing out that wild spending is destructive and “unsustainable?” That governing by unelected czars and unlegislated edict is evil? That shaping justice to the advantage of special interests is criminal?
Yhat calculatedly hiding the background records of a candidate for high office is unacceptable?
The truth is never negative. Standing up against Goebbel/alinky strategy is not fighting dirty. Pretending that the conduct of this admistration over the past four years is simply ineptitude and poor judgement is a wimpy, losing approach. We need a few more millions to reach you conclusion: We’ve had enough! Throw the bastards out!
Roger, Thank you. I agree. I’m in a conversation with a professional cohort in LA in the aerospace industry who will vote for Obama because he’s made the USA look better to those in other nations. She travels internationally quite a bit and has said that when in other countries people notice her accent and tell her, “Yea Obama,” or some such. When I pointed out that Bono lauded GWBush over Obama for his AIDS work, she fell semi silent, but how to follow up? I know we can push her over the top, I’m just not sure how…
The election will NOT be decided based on the economy because most swing voters are smart enough to realize that Romney policies won’t bring economic prosperity to the middle class any more than Obama will.
We’re getting older, sicker, dumber and poorer, folks, and we need to deal with it. Do you want your national decline with a side order of gay marriage, Medicare-as-we-know-it, and global good-will, or do you want it with a side order of military adventurism and warmed-over objectivism?
Gay marriage is a deal-breaker for me. I cannot vote for anyone who endorses it.
