Mastermind of World Trade Center bombing to be “transferred” to Egypt?
You know the old expression “It’s always worse than you think”? In that department, anyway, the Obama administration is the gift that keeps on giving.
I thought a line had been crossed when sheriffs showed up at midnight to bundle away a man who had made an anti-Islamic movie that embarrassed the President. Then there was the murder of our Ambassador and three other Americans in Libya: the administration’s response: blame Romney, apologize for the “hurt the religious feelings of Muslims.”
Will there ever be a last straw for the MSM that is acting as Obama’s press corps? Is there anything Obama could do that would make them say “Enough!” and stand up for America? What would it take? How about this: the announcement that the Obama administration is considering transferring the “Blind Sheikh” Omar Abdel Rahman, mastermind of the first World Trade Center bombing, to Egypt “for humanitarian and health reasons.” Incredulous? Then you underestimate the Islamophilc nature of the Obama administration.
The Blaze has the breaking story: “The U.S. State Department is currently in negotiations with the Egyptian government for the transfer of custody of Omar Abdel-Rahman, also known as “the Blind Sheikh,” for humanitarian and health reasons, a source close to the the Obama administration told The Blaze.”
This isn’t a “release, the Department of Justice told The Blaze, Oh, no: merely a transfer the the Muslim Brotherhood controlled country where the Sheikh is regarded as a hero.

The Blind Sheikh is currently serving a life sentence in American prison for his role in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, but the newly-elected Islamist government in Egypt has been actively petitioning his release. Many have pinpointed a cause of last week‘s unrest in in the country to be protests over the Blind Sheikh’s release – not an anti-Islam YouTube video.

If this is true, then it means that Obama is so confident of victory in November that nothing, not even brazen appeasement, will change the result.

That this story has the slightest bit of legs tells us all how worried we need to be about treaties, pardons, and other executive activity in the freaking lame duck period.
I support releasing the Blind Sheikh to Egypt. As long as he is released back to Cairo from the ramp of a C-141, sans ‘chute, from 30,000 feet.
So long as he doesn’t land on anything built before the Muslim conquest.

I fail to see what is so surprising about Obama transferring (releasing of course) the blind sheik. Obama is an islamist and his policy is to advance socialism and islam in that order. Obama can’t free the murderer here so he will allow his islamist brothers to do so.

Make it 30,000 ft with him dressed in pig leather and strapped to a 2000 pound bomb. The pig leather will “desecrate” his body, making it impossible to enter “heaven” to get his 72 virgins. The bomb makes sure that there is no identifiable body. That will make it harder to impossible to make him a martyr.

I like it, but I was thinking of implanting him with a tracking chip, and helping him blow out the candles at his welcome home party.
I hope with all sincerity that this proves untrue and unfounded. I could not have further loyalty to a government that contemplated such an action.

Well, if he goes through with this, it’s just more ammo for conservatives. As for setting precedents, a new administration can repudiate actions of former administations. They often have: such is called a “policy shift.”
My read on this episode is that (1) BHO really does believe his own PR (= media) and thinks it’ll not matter to the election, and (2) he’s dead wrong, more and more people are seeing this, and these actions simply increase the size of the preference cascade that’s coming.
And it could also be (3), a double-bluff: BHO knows he’s in very big trouble — he’s not stupid — but arrogant to the core he believes if he just acts confidently enough he’ll pull it off.
Given that his media have settled in comfortably on their embroidered White House kneepads, both (1) and (3) could be operating simultaneously at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Let’s pray — and I’m not religious — that (2) is pulling itself together.

Isn’t it obvious that the answer to the above is “No.” There is no limit. They will gladly be accomplices in their own deaths (which is where sharia would lead).
The only question to ask in this regard is “Why?” Why do they do this in the face of all the obvious consequences of what Obama is and will do? Why do they support a no-growth economy that will impoverish their children and grandchildren? A weakened America that surrenders leadership to dictatorial regimes that wil advance authoritarian and exploitive agendas? THAT is worth pondering.
Because they’re so consumed by hate and fear that the only thing they want it to see their enemies killed.

Essentially releasing the Blind Sheikh is a real nice gesture – but Obama – you can do better than that I’m sure. This is all so incremental…why not hand over Central Command and be done with it?

I think we need to tread carefully with this story. I doubt the veracity of the story. Does anyone really belief that some unnamed source, who is “close to the Obama Administration” would give Glenn Beck and exclusive? This sounds made up. Glenn Beck doesn’t always get it right.

For the last 20 or so years I’ve told people “No, we don’t need to go crazy yet. We can vote, the country is still OK.”
If the media has this same information and is refusing to report it, and this does happen, we will be at a point I could never have imagined twenty years ago.
Remember that the Media flacked for Obama so hard in 2008 that they out their own credibility on the line, I believe the high honchos in the media are doing their best to keep the lid on stuff like the warnings at Cairo and Benghazi and the Administration’s fumbles since. However, sending the Bind Sheikh to Egypt is beyond even that, beyond covering their butts, that’s outright evil. One must wonder if they would do the same with Khalid Sheikh Mohammed too if they do it with the Blind Sheikh.
If Obama wants to embolden the most radical elements in Egypt and solidify the general Egyptian populace behind them and against the USA then this is brilliant strategy. I do think that is exactly what he wants.

That might be a good idea since if there are any lessons to be learned from the last 20 years or so these are:
1) Terrorism not only works, but gains sympathy and support for the terrorists from Western elites and media, and money from the EU and the US.
2) It’s better to be America’s enemies than America’s friends.
It has long been my position that we should send the blind sheik and his fellow jihadis in Gitmo home. Home to Allah and the 72 virgin houris.
Maybe we can just drop them off by their house, say from a C-130 at 10,000 feet, a 40 pound bag of Eisenhower siver dollars tightly strapped to them and no parachute. That would make for a nice homecoming.
Or maybe just have a well publicised ceremony where we award them cash and our thanks for all of their cooperation and support during their incarceration, and then fly them to the current taliban/al queda sanctuary (Pakistan, Astan or any of the other stans on our fair planet) and turn them loose. I followed the link to The Blaze (what the heck is The Blaze?) and could not find the words that Roger quoted. Instead, the story began “The U. S. State Department is actively considering negotiations with the Egyptian government for the transfer of custody …” Also the story closed with a vehement denial, from a US DOJ spokesman, that any such thing was being considered; he referred to the story — twice — as “utter garbage”. But the article closed, suggestively, with a statement that the State Department was “yet to respond” to a query from The Blaze.
I recommend we hold off on bashing the current admin for this sin until they show some sign of actually having committed it.
