Hillary Clinton attacked her general election opponent’s fiscal bona fides during a stump speech before union members on Monday. She warned that Trump “could bankrupt America like he’s bankrupted his companies.”

“I mean ask yourself, how could anybody lose money running a casino, really?” she quipped.

It’s cute rhetoric, but a bit odd coming from the a head of a party whose prescribed fiscal policies have already driven the nation to the brink of financial disaster.

Walter Hudson serves as a first-term member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, elected as a Republic from an exurban district of the Twin Cities. Hudson formerly served as a city council member in Albertville, Minn., and hosted a nightly radio show on Twin Cities News Talk AM 1130.
