'Epstein Didn't Kill Himself' and the Popular Revolt Against the Elites

Democrats, Libertarians, Republicans, independents, conspiracy theorists, and totally sane people finally have something on which they can all agree: Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself. And it might be more than just a broadly popular meme, but a symbol of a popular revolt against our so-called elites.

Before we get to that though, there are two groups who don’t seem to be enjoying all the dark humor: The Deep State and the Mainstream Media. Last week, someone leaked to Project Veritas a three-year-old video of ABC News anchor Amy Robach in a serious hot mic moment. She complained that her network spiked the Epstein story in order to maintain access to Britain’s royal family, at least one of whom was implicated in Epstein’s lowlife activities. Robach said:

She had pictures, she had everything. She was in hiding for 12 years, we convinced her to come out. We convinced her to talk to us, it was unbelievable what we had — Clinton, we have everything.

I tried for three years to get it on to no avail. And now it’s all coming out and it’s like these new revelations and I freaking had all of it. I’m so pissed right now.

The mainstream media responded to this blockbuster news by sitting on the Robach leak just as thoroughly as they sat on the Epstein story. No news is good news, comrades! Robach was forced to issue a statement that sounded like it could have come from an American prisoner in a North Vietnamese POW camp. Then, ABC News and CBS News conspired to fire the producer, Ashley Bianco, who had recently accessed the tape — even though she no longer worked for ABC, did nothing wrong at CBS, and might not have even been the one who leaked it to Veritas.

As for the Deep State, funny memes are no laughing matter when some Deep State actor may have either murdered Epstein, or “merely” arranged for a very convenient set of circumstances for him to kill himself. It just keeps getting more bizarre, and Americans are having none of it.

Which brings me to our favorite internet pranksters: Us. All of us, apparently. PJMedia’s own Megan Fox collected some of the best and funniest ‘Epstein Didn’t Kill Himself’ memes, but there’s something going on here beyond the laughs.

The sources I linked to above include Newsweek (nutty lefties), Vox (serious but clueless lefties), Libertarian Investments (self-explanatory), FrontPage Mag (serious righties), and VodkaPundit (whoever that guy is). I dug up plenty more links from across the spectrum, and the one thing they all have in common is that they have serious doubts about the official story on Epstein. Hardly anyone it seems is buying the narrative as presented (squashed, really) by the mainstream media.

Back during Stalin’s reign of terror over the Soviet Union, unpersons were edited out of history in the most obvious ways. Pages were removed from encyclopedias and replaced with redacted material, but there was no hiding the fact that a new page had been glued in. Photographs were altered, badly, to remove Party officials who had fallen out of favor. “Fallen out of favor” is just the nice way of saying “Taken out and shot, and their families, too.” The fact that the edits and redactions were obvious was no accident. The self-evident edits were meant to send a chilling message: “You, too, can be made an unperson, comrade.” The result was decades of silent acquiescence… and millions of dead.

Thank goodness there’s no one in this country capable of Stalin-level terror and murder. But we are witnessing an attempt by people in government and the media to make Jeffrey Epstein into an unperson. Not only are his crimes being flushed down the memory hole, but the press is acting like no one in the press tried to hide the things he never did. The fact that the coverup, if that’s the word, is so blatantly obvious, such an insult to our intelligence, that I’m forced to conclude there’s something Stalinesque about it. It is meant to send the chilling message: “You cannot hold us accountable, comrade.”

But this is America, not the Soviet Union. The Deep State/MSM doesn’t have Stalin’s tools, and we’re Americans who won’t be shut up. So the result of the Epstein coverup is a million funny memes, rather than a million seriously dead.

What started five weeks ago as a gag on a nonpartisan gaming forum is now something of a national cause célèbre across the left, right, and great middle of this country. It’s a big middle-finger salute to the Powers That Be, but more importantly it’s a sign that Americans in some small way are “as mad as hell and we’re not going to take this anymore!”

In a small way… for now. The elites should tremble if it grows any bigger.
