From a contact I trust who is in Washington enough to know:

I was in the Pentagon today for a couple of meetings (nothing earth-shattering or even interesting). One of the officers we briefed warned us over lunch at a food court (there are lots of those in the building) to pay with cash.

“I’ve been here less than six months,” he said, “and I’ve had two credit card numbers stolen after using them in here, plus an ATM number from one of the credit union machines.” He said there’s a huge investigation going on.

Mind you, this is all Inside The Fucking Pentagon.

I don’t think I have to tell you just how scary that is.

Is there one federal institution that hasn’t been hacked?
