Unspeakable tragedy in Illinois:

Surveillance video reveals a new perspective of the moment a car crashed into a north suburban Binny’s liquor store in Highland Park.

No one was seriously hurt but the driver of that car and an employee who helped rescue her have quite a story to tell.

Store managers say they have had to throw out more than $100,000 worth of alcohol Thursday. The driver said that her gas pedal got stuck.

Uh-huh. I once got rear-ended by a woman who mistook the gas pedal for the brake pedal as she approached a red light. Turns out it’s not an uncommon mistake.

Sure makes you look stupid, though.
