Cats and Dogs Living Together Or Not

Obama promised to bring us all together. Instead, in Los Angeles, two of the most reliably-Democratic groups in the country are at one another’s throats. Forget non-partisanship; Obama can’t even get his own partisans to just get along. Sometimes, the dissension within the ranks lies even within individual dissenters, at least that’s what I got from reading this editorial in the LA Times by a black lesbian.

I’ll say it again: The real world is a lot messier than vague bromides about “hope” and “change.”
