“So what was Tuesday like?” not one person asked me. Well, let me tell you anyway.
On Tuesday I set up an all-new TV studio in my basement. Recorded two TV show segments. Hosted and/or guested on two hours of radio — one-half live, one-half live-to-tape, as we say in the biz. Wrote a viciously funny column (link to follow shortly). Put up ten or twelve or more blog posts. Put up scheduled posts for tomorrow. Took the backseat in starting up a tax-free political foundation (details to follow if necessary, and thank you, Charlie Martin). Gave a two-year-old a bath. Made a couple meals. Drank my share of two bottles of red. And a vodka rocks. And some other stuff I can’t quite recall, because of all the other stuff, but especially the stuff involving wine and vodka.
And today? More of the same, plus drunkblogging of tonight’s presidential debate.
I’m not sure I’ve ever been so tired. I’m pretty damn sure I’ve rarely been so happy.
It’s an exciting time to be doing anything one of the things I’m doing, and I’m doing more of all of those things than I ever thought possible.
Anyway, if all of it sucks… well, at least I’m producing quantity if not quality. Just don’t tell my kid I ever said that.
