Missing the Big Picture

Before we go to the PJTV Blogger Whip at the top of the hour, there’s a local story I just have to share:

COLORADO SPRINGS – Your vote will help pick a new president in less than four weeks. A group of voters in Colorado Springs used their drinks to show their support during the second presidential debate. At Blondie’s in downtown Colorado Springs, red martini’s for McCain, blue for Obama.

“Red. Republican, yeah,” says McCain supporter Rusty Mansanares.

“I’m undecided,” says voter Jessica Poling. Even though her drink was blue, she says she’s politically purple.

I can’t believe no one at KRDO contacted me about this story. Because of that sad omission, they left their viewers uninformed that if you drink three clear martinis, then you can start a blog.
