So That's It?

Here’s what Drudge has:

Statement by the President of CBS News, Andrew Heyward:

“We established to our satisfaction that the memos were accurate or we would not have put them on television. There was a great deal of coroborating [sic] evidence from people in a position to know. Having said that, given all the questions about them, we believe we should redouble our efforts to answer those questions, so that’s what we are doing.”

I feel like I just shelled out a couple hundred bucks for dinner for two at a nice restaurant, but didn’t even get to cop a feel.

Surely, there must be more.

There is more. What are the odds that a high-powered news organization would mispell “corroborating” in a statement it spent all day writing? Could this statement have been forged?

What are the odds that a blogger using MS Word would misspell “misspell” in a post certain to generate lots of traffic? Another forgery, perhaps?

Kip Esquire has a serious observation.
