The New York Times lede editorial runs 521 words. Of those, nine could be interpreted as showing some small support for our troops:
Everyone hopes that the Iraq war will be successful.
That’s it. The rest is brow-furrowed-over-pointy-forehead concern about the world those troops will be helping to remake. It’s poorly-written, poorly-reasoned, almost entirely unencumbered by facts — and shows, through neglect, little but disdain for the men and women of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Raines can get screwed.
