I’ve recieved the same package more times than I can count. It’s a thin, rectangular box from Amazon, just big enough to hold a DVD.
What’d I order this time? Donny Darko arrived yesterday, and I couldn’t remember ordering anything else in the last week that had already been released. To my surprise, it was the new deluxe edition of “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” which I not only didn’t order, I didn’t even know it existed.
A mystery gift from a stranger? I pulled the box out of the trash to see if there was a note inside. Yep. The stranger was Amazon.com.
The DVD was a little thank you for buying so much stuff over the years, and for having written 50-some-odd reviews for them. (Click the link and vote for some of my reviews already.)
Not only that, but the DVD won’t be officially released until March 25. So to all you Roger Rabbit fans eagerly awaiting a gorgeous new print (and Dobly 5.1 remix) of one of your favorite movies, I can only say: Neener.
Oh, and thank you, Amazon.
