It’d be nice if Powell had video or audio tapes here to back him up, but his sources are good nonetheless. In any case, it just doesn’t seem as compelling as the earlier details of thwarting inspectors.

Why? Because thwarted inspectors make the UNSC look like fools, even if they’re incapable of feeling foolish. And while they might not care about covering their asses, they’ll damn sure want to cover their egos.

And THAT is how you get the UNSC to do the right thing.
