Individual Democrats will be forced to either come out loudly in favor of a strong war effort, or go loudly doveish. Those, like Daschle, who attempted a Third Way have seen tonight that the public isn’t in the mood for clever electoral tricks.

This isn’t a time for fence-sitters, and I hope many Dems get that point.
