Our Friends the Saudis

Every once in a while, I love to go over to Arab News and see what our Saudi friends have to say.

Here are their top three headlines for Monday:

“Israeli Army begins summary executions”

“Sharon knows only law of the jungle: Abdullah”

“Siege of Arafat greatest crime in history: Sultan”

In case you’re not usre, the “Abdullah” in the second header is the Saudi Crown Prince and de facto ruler. How sweet.

The Sultan mentioned in the last headline is none other than “moderate” bin Abdulaziz, who was always pleading for US help on CNN in 1990.

Forget the Arab street — listen to their damn leaders a moment. We’re in trouble.

But they’re in it deeper.
