UPDATE: For the record, there are some brilliantly funny left-liberal cartoonists. Pick up a copy of your local alt weekly, and look for Matt Groening’s Life In Hell. Yes, that Groening — creator of The Simpsons and Futurama. He’s brutal when he takes on Republicans — but, unlike Rall, Matt is funny, witty, and often has a genuinely tender sense of humanity.

I can’t find a link to his strip, but the book versions are marvelous collections. Especially Love Is Hell and School Is Hell.
