President Donald Trump shot back at his former aide Omarosa Manigault Newman, who will publish a book tomorrow claiming that Trump used the N-word and that he is truly a racist. Trump responded by calling her “wacky Omarosa” and claiming that he stood up for her against his Chief of Staff John Kelly but ultimately had to let her go.
“Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time. She never made it, never will,” the president tweeted. He then went on to summarize the relationship.
Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time. She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said Ok. People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart. I would rarely see her but heard….

Nasty to people & would constantly miss meetings & work. When Gen. Kelly came on board he told me she was a loser & nothing but problems. I told him to try working it out, if possible, because she only said GREAT things about me – until she got fired!”

The president also anticipated the response he would get for responding to Manigault Newman’s charges.
“While I know it’s ‘not presidential’ to take on a lowlife like Omarosa, and while I would rather not be doing so, this is a modern day form of communication and I know the Fake News Media will be working overtime to make even Wacky Omarosa look legitimate as possible. Sorry!” he tweeted.

The president is right, at least on this. As PJ Media’s Michael Walsh pointed out yesterday, the press has swallowed Manigault Newman’s story, despite its contradictions. She claimed Trump did not know about her firing, and yet that he did know. She also recorded a private conversation in the White House Situation Room, in clear violation of protocol.
Furthermore, Manigault Newman herself claimed that Trump is not racist last December. Oh, and she herself said every critic “will have to bow down” to Trump…
She sparked a new anti-Trump press cycle by reversing this claim, and has now come forth with a recording of John Kelly firing her.

She defended the recording, saying, “This is a White House where everybody lies… you have to have your back.”
Anti-Trump conservative Bill Kristol seized on Kelly’s remark that “the staff and everyone on the staff works for me not the president.” Kristol countered that this is “not true.”
Kelly to Omarosa: "The staff and everyone on the staff works for me not the president." I doubt Trump will agree. Nor should he. It's not true. Omarosa's title was "Assistant to the President." Which is why WH staff are always told, "your behavior will reflect on the president."

New York Post columnist Karol Markowicz pointed out the utter ridiculousness of Manigault Newman attempting to clear her name using a clear breach of protocol. “John Kelly tells her she is accused of some serious integrity violations and she is sharing this to…clear her name?” Markowicz pointedly asked.
John Kelly tells her she is accused of some serious integrity violations and she is sharing this to…clear her name?

Kellyanne Conway insisted that she never heard Trump utter a racial slur.

Ironically, conservative political analyst Frank Luntz is cited as Manigault Newman’s source that Trump did indeed use the N-word. Luntz himself vehemently denied ever hearing or saying such a thing.
“I’m in [Manigault Newman]’s book on page 149. She claims to have heard from someone who heard from me that I heard Trump use the N-word,” Luntz tweeted. “Not only is this flat-out false (I’ve never heard such a thing), but Omarosa didn’t even make an effort to call or email me to verify. Very shoddy work.” Whoops!

It is possible Omorosa Manigault Newman’s new book reveals something compelling, but her credibility has taken serious hits and the media should hesitate before reporting her story as reliable.
