Update: Tomi Lahren Suspended From TheBlaze TV After Abortion Comments

Update: TheBlaze has reportedly suspended political commentator Tomi Lahren, The Daily Caller reported. Unnamed sources reportedly said Lahren's show is suspended for at least one week starting Monday. A source with direct knowledge said Lahren's contract goes until September, but she might leave before then.

On Friday, Lahren suggested it would be hypocrisy for small-government conservatives to also oppose abortion. Not only was she wrong — as libertarian YouTube star Julie Borowski helpfully pointed out — she was also at odds with her boss, Glenn Beck. This gave birth to rumors — which may be quite a bit more than that — that Lahren will be leaving TheBlaze sooner rather than later. Neither Beck nor Lahren responded to requests for comment.

"Political commentator Tomi Lahren wil likely be leaving TheBlaze in September if not sooner," The Daily Caller's Peter Hasson reported. Indeed, Beck shot back at Lahren for her remarks. For context, here's what she said:

I'm pro choice, and here's why. I am a constitutional, you know, someone that loves the Constitution. I'm someone that's for limited government. So I can't sit here and be a hypocrite and say I'm for limited government, but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies.

Beck wasted little time in shooting back at Lahren. "Rule another label out. I am NOT a 'constitutional'. I believe in LIFE, liberty and property. Just an old fashioned 'constitutionalist,'" he tweeted. Not only did he take Lahren's word — likely a stammer while identifying herself as a "constitutionalist" — literally, he emphasized his belief in "LIFE," an attack on Lahren's implication that the issue of abortion is about controlling a woman's body, not protecting the life of a baby.

But Beck didn't stop there. Responding to attacks, Lahren declared, "I have moderate, conservative, and libertarian views. I'm human. I will never apologize, to anyone, for being an independent thinker."

Beck shot back, "Wait, libertarian views? Help me out on Trumpcare, stimulus, and executive orders. Trump is anything but libertarian. "
