Putin: 'The Killers Will Feel It'

You can say a lot about Russian President Vladimir Putin, but not that he takes being attacked lying down. That’s why the terrorist group responsible for yesterday’s assassination of Russia’s ambassador to Turkey better prepare for a ferocious war, the likes of which we haven’t see in the last few decades.

The Russian president takes it rather personally that a radical Islamist murdered his ambassador in cold blood. According to Putin, the terrorist attack is “clearly a provocation aimed at undermining the improvement and normalization of Russian-Turkish relations, as well as undermining the peace process in Syria promoted by Russia, Turkey, Iran and other countries interested in settling the conflict in Syria.”

Next, he made it clear to the terrorists involved that Russia will not let them get away with this horrendous murder:

The “only response” to the attack that Moscow “should offer” is “stepping up the fight against terrorism,” the president added.

He concluded:

The killers will feel it.

The Russian authorities are currently investigating the assassination. Once they know which organization organized it — I predict it’ll either be ISIS or Al-Nusra — the Russian army will undoubtedly launch a major offensive against that group in Syria (and possibly Iraq). Although the terrorists thought they could take on Russia, I’m pretty sure Putin will soon set them straight; when this man fights a war, he destroys everything and everybody that gets in his way. Just look at what the Russians have done to Aleppo, a once-prosperous Syrian city that’s now completely in ruins.

I’m not a Putin fanboy, but as far as I’m concerned, he can do whatever he pleases to the group responsible for the ambassador’s death. Wipe ’em out and make sure they can never stage another terror attack.
