Former Governor Howard “The Scream” Dean weighed in on his very important and powerful role as a “superdelegate” to the DNC.
@D_Born @BernieSanders Super delegates don’t “represent people” I’m not elected by anyone. I’ll do what I think is right for the country
— Howard Dean (@GovHowardDean) March 5, 2016
And there you have it: Dean will do what he “thinks” is right for his country, regardless of how the people vote.
So far, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has amassed 1221 delegates while Sanders has 571.
But of the pledged delegates, Hillary only has 766 and Sanders has 549, so if we listen to what the people want, the race is pretty close. The superdelegates are not bound to their initial support, so why even include them in the count making it appear that Hillary is crushing Sanders?
So that it appears that Hillary is a “done deal” — that’s why. The party of the people, indeed.
