If a genocidal terror group expresses warm gratitude to you, then you should know you’re on the wrong side of history. Unfortunately, the Israel-hating prime minister of Australia is determined to pretend he’s promoting peace instead of jihad.
Hamas culminated years of terrorism with the deadliest slaughter of Jews since the Holocaust (Oct. 7) and the ongoing war that slaughter launched, which is still costing Israeli lives. Now, Hamas is praising the supposed “political courage” of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for recognizing a state of Palestine, which has never existed before, and which would now be a reward for terrorism.
Hamas co-founder Sheikh Hassan Yousef reportedly declared, “We welcome Australia’s decision to recognize the state of Palestine, and consider it an important step towards achieving justice for our people and securing their legitimate rights.” Yousef’s son, a defector to Israel, has been trying to warn the West that no state of Palestine should be recognized, because most Palestinians are totally under the thrall of terrorists who want to commit genocide against Jews and Christians. No wonder Israel’s foreign affairs minister is so disgusted:

Even Sky News Australia, which loves to spread Hamas propaganda and bash Israel, had to admit there was a problem with Hamas’s enthusiastic endorsement of Albanese’s idiocy. As if we’re too stupid to know that Hamas still controls much of Gaza, and that the Palestinian Authority (PA) financially incentivizes and rewards terrorism. This means that literally none of the authorities in Gaza are interested in peace, which Albanese tried to pretend was shocking as he covered his sorry backside.

“Hamas is a terrorist organization. It has no role to play. And Hamas, I've seen some of the comments that have been made about Hamas somehow being rewarded ... This is the opposite of what Hamas wants. Hamas wants one state,” Albanese whined. Of course, Hamas does want one state — that is, a nation comprising all Israeli land — but then again, the PA and the overwhelming majority of Palestinians also want only one state. I can say from personal experience that even in Jerusalem, practically every Muslim shop was advertising products with “Palestine” depicted as all of Israel. That is why the Arabs who now call themselves Palestinians have spent decades unequivocally refusing the two-state solution in favor of destroying Israel. And that’s why Albanese is full of balderdash.
What Hamas understands is that a Western government recognizing a “state of Palestine,” the recognition of yet another Muslim nation on what rightfully is Israeli land, is a massive step toward legitimizing the seizing of more Israeli land. If the terrorists are justified in taking some land that does not rightly belong to them, what kind of argument can be mounted against them taking the entirety of Israel? None. That’s why Hamas is delighted with Australia, and why a Hamas official recently went on Arabic media to declare proudly that governments recognizing a “state of Palestine” was directly due to the heinous massacre of Oct. 7, 2023.
Hamas truly does want to commit a genocide of Israelis and establish only one state. But all the useful idiots from Canada to Europe to Australia recognizing a “state of Palestine” are legitimizing the very jihad and land seizure which Hamas hopes will eventually give it control over all of the land that God promised to the Jewish people in perpetuity (see Genesis 17:8). And that is why Albanese and all leaders like him who recognize “Palestine” are complicit in terrorism.
