Marco Rubio Launches TrumpSlams.com

Marco Rubio had so much fun slamming Donald Trump at the Texas GOP debate Thursday night that he launched a website solely devoted to the practice: TrumpSlams.com. At last night’s fiery and contentious debate, Rubio hit Trump with a string of pithy put-downs on substantive issues such as Obamacare, his hiring practices, his bankruptcies,  his age, Trump University, Planned Parenthood, and the vacancy on the Supreme Court.  My personal favorite was: “If Donald Trump hadn’t inherited $200 million, he’d be selling $10 watches in Manhattan.”  The Rubio campaign is now fundraising off of that joke:

He continued the assault on the campaign trail Friday where he read Trump’s mean (but misspelled) tweets and warned voters that “friends do not let friends vote for con artists.”

Now, some might criticize the Rubio campaign for taking this puerile route, but Rubio is only playing by Trump’s rules at Trump’s expense. It’s about time somebody did so.

Both campaigners are employing Alinsky’s Rule #5:  “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” Now the race is getting interesting.
