VIDEO -- Obama Congratulates Muslim Brotherhood Front on the Same Day He Decides to Strike Syria

The Islamic Society of North America held its annual convention over the weekend in Chicago. President Obama chose to send the convention a video greeting, in which he congratulated ISNA for “the myriad of ways the American Muslim community and specifically ISNA leadership, has served as an effective partner in promoting inter-religious initiatives in the U.S. and religious freedom for minorities around the world.”

The Christian Copts in Egypt must not count as a minority, because ISNA hasn’t lifted a finger to help them against the Muslim Brotherhood’s pogroms.

That might be due to the fact that ISNA itself is a creature of the Muslim Brotherhood, according to Discover the Networks.

The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) was established in July 1981 by U.S-based members of the Muslim Brotherhood with a background as leaders of the Muslim Students Association (MSA). As author and terrorism expert Steven Emerson puts it, ISNA “grew out of the Muslim Students Association, which also was founded by Brotherhood members.” Indeed, Muslim Brothers would dominate ISNA’s leadership throughout the Society’s early years. Striving “to advance the cause of Islam and serve Muslims in North America so as to enable them to adopt Islam as a complete way of life,” ISNA was highly dependent upon Saudi funding during its early years.

The Muslim Brotherhood has specific goals for its activism in the United States. Muslim Brotherhood operative Mohamed Akram wrote them down in a memo that was introduced into evidence in the 2007 Holy Land Foundation Trial.

Written sometime in 1987 but not formally published until May 22, 1991, Akram’s 18-page document listed the Brotherhood’s 29 likeminded “organizations of our friends” that shared the common goal of dismantling American institutions and turning the U.S. into a Muslim nation. These “friends” were identified by Akram and the Brotherhood as groups that could help convince Muslims “that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands … so that … God’s religion [Islam] is made victorious over all other religions.”

Akram was well aware that in the U.S., it would be extremely difficult to promote Islam by means of terror attacks. Thus the “grand jihad” that he and his Brotherhood comrades envisioned was not a violent one involving bombings and shootings, but rather a stealth (or “soft”) jihad aiming to impose Islamic law (Sharia) over every region of the earth by incremental, non-confrontational means, such as working to “expand the observant Muslim base”; to “unif[y] and direc[t] Muslims’ efforts”; and to “present Islam as a civilization alternative.” At its heart, Akram’s document details a plan to conquer and Islamize the United States – not as an ultimate objective, but merely as a stepping stone toward the larger goal of one day creating “the global Islamic state.”

Here is Obama’s video greeting to the Muslim Brotherhood offshoot ISNA. It aired at the convention on Saturday, the same day President Obama announced his intention to launch military strikes on Syria, strikes that would effectively put the United States on the same side as Muslim Brotherhood offshoot al-Qaeda in Syria’s civil war.
