The photo above is of 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing. His older brother, Tamerlan, was killed during a shootout with police early this morning. The pair reportedly killed an MIT police officer during a long night of violence that began with a carjacking.
The pair, reported to be brothers from Chechnya, have lived in the United States for several years. As I write this, police have a house surrounded in Watertown, MA. At least one explosion or gun shot was heard from inside the house at about 8:35 am local time. Two people, neither of whom appeared to be the suspect, were seen on video taken from the house.
Update: This appears to be his VK (Facebook-like social media) page. He had recently changed his profile photo, and atop the page, it indicates that he was “last seen today at 5:04 am.” He checked into the page via mobile phone. He identifies his worldview as “Islam.”
