Feinstein Declares War on Code Pink

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) declared war on Code Pink at the Senate Intelligence Committee today.

The protesters against drone strikes interrupted the opening statement of President Obama’s counterterrorism adviser, John Brennan, in his first confirmation hearing to be the next CIA director.

Feinstein ordered “no clapping, no hissing” at the beginning of the hearing. After the third interruption, she warned the room would be cleared and people selectively admitted back in one by one if there was another interruption.

There was another interruption within seconds, and Feinstein specifically ordered the Code Pink members not be allowed in the room.

The chairwoman briefly recessed while drone protesters continued to shout and soaked up attention from assembled photographers and reporters.
