Sen. Kirk Releases Video of Post-Stroke Therapy Progress

Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) released a video update today of his progress since suffering a stroke in January.

Kirk expresses his goal of walking the 45 steps from the parking lot to the front door of the Senate.

“They have some devious ways of making things more difficult,” such as strapping a 10-pound weight to his foot, the senator quips in the video.

The intensive program is aimed toward helping Kirk regain function in his left arm and leg that were hit by the stroke.

We can’t wait to see Sen. Kirk walk proudly into the upper chamber.
